Well the very fact that a candidate quit after criticism is a 'spoiler' itself so thanks for thanks for that OP...

It will be interesting to see who she picks on next that's for sure! She has been very, very bitchy and cold this series, I want Margaret back asap!

When I read the spoiler a day or two ago I was quite dismissive of Scott but seeing him tonight on YBF and hearing the reasons behind his decision made me respect him a bit more.

When posting a spoiler, just put spoiler alert in the title and leave it at that OP! Do not spoil the programme for anyone else. |

It really spoilt the episode for me can't believe there seem to be so few who are annoyed about it. I guess I'll just have to keep well away from here in the days before a show now, which is such a shame as I love the banter...
The same with the various Selina episodes. To me a spoiler is if you reveal something not already 'out there', such as if you went to a 'You're Fired' recording and blurted out who went before it was broadcast. Unless you never look at the news it's hard to know how you would not have already known. |

To be honest it was in the newspapers, and online news since Sunday, so many will have known anyway.

Unless you never look at the news it's hard to know how you would not have already known. The fact that u consider many people will know something does not a non-spoiler make and then make it acceptable to quote it in a message thread title. There's actually a dedicated spoiler thread (which I avoid) so there's really no need for a 'look at me, look at me, aren't I clever' post. |

Just got around to watching this week's episode and I have to say that the circumstances surrounding Scott's resignation were exactly what I imagined they'd be.
He can hardly say that he was "roasted" prior to his decision. He simply found himself in a position where his willful ignorance of all his shortcomings could no longer be denied and so he decided to run away. As I already said, people like Scott float through life in a little bubble of self-assured ignorance, often leaving other people to sort out the mess they've caused, and when that bubble bursts they quit whatever they're doing to run away and start again somewhere else. Pathetic. |

Pathetic. When Claude and Karen were giving the results out in the board room though Scott/Brett got 12k in commission to Gary/Charleine's 16k so it's not like they were miles away from the other team or didn't make a sale at all. We didn't see any of their successful sales and the episode definitely felt edited to make Scott look as bad as possible. His first sales attempt was awful, there's no getting away from that but evidently he must have improved as time went on as they did get some sales. I do think he doesn't handle criticism well though, look at his reaction after Sam was fired, he stormed out of the place without looking in Sam's direction and I believe that was because Sam had dared criticize his management strategy and defend Brett in the process. |

He's a male Selena, can't handle criticism in the right way, Joseph was taken down far harder during the task than him, talking about his plumber 'status' and lack of polish in comparison to Vana & Richard, LS rubbed it further into him in the boardroom after. He didn't get up and quit even though he was out of his depth.

He was sulking because they were all moaning about him, not the right man for the process.

I thought he quit really because he was knackered by the process and wasn't doing well. I thought he was good until the bargain pop up shop episode. Since then, he didn't seem to be able to get his mojo back. I think he's a good salesman if he knows his product.
I think the deadlines and short time scales are there to bring out the worst (and best) in the contestants. It really is high pressure and I just think Scott was battered and tired by the process. |

I didn't see the spoiler but have to say I thought he was rather childish, he threw his teddy of the pram.
For goodness sake his team won, he should have taken the feedback on board and tried better, let's be honest he was quite petulant in the taxi. Lord Sugar would not have wanted to work with him! |

I think Scott has alot of positive qualities that unfortunately become less positive when a little bit of pressure and stress are applied.
I think he's naturally very eager to please, enthusiastic and genuine. But when he doesn't receive any kind of encouragement or gratification, he becomes frustrated, insecure and over-sensitive. He needs to find more of a balance, keeping the traits that make him come across so honest and likeable, but to toughen up a bit so that he's not so easily disheartened at the first sign of trouble and ready to throw the towel in. |
