I have a DN370T YV recorder, and I'm having a problem with drop-outs on recordings (in other words, parts of the recording are missing - on playback, it seems to fade between the point it WAS playing, to the next bit of the recording it can play, if that makes sense). I have recorded programmes to my old Goodmans PVR(temperamental, & irritating, but kept for archive purposes) at the same time I recorded to the Huawei, and the recordings are fine on that, I suspect I may have a problem with the hard drive in the Huawei. So can anybody give me advice on replacing the hard drive? I'm assuming that I can copy all of its content to a new HD using Acronis true image(because there 's a lot of programmes on it tha t I haven't watched yet), but is there anything else I need to know?

Or would I be better off getting a Humax YV recorder? Will it still work with the Talktalk internet channels?

I tried to edit this into my original post, but unfortunately, I was too late:-

Please bear in mind the fact I haven't even opened up the Huawei to find out what sort of HD it uses!

forget all of the above I've bought a Humax YV recorder on that well known auction site -unfortunately, the previous owner didn't include the instruction manual, can anybody give me a weblink to find it online?

It's very generic. It is almost next to useless.

The easy to find reset deletes your recordings. For not so severe resets see

Thanks for the info - though I spent about twenty minutes playing around with it and seem to have sussed it out. I'm surprised, however that the remote doesn't seem to have the facility to control my TV, whereas the one for the Huawei does.
