Continuation of: The Wright Stuff Discussion Thread (Part 3)

Advising the Trans community to "suck it up" is a poor choice of words!

A supermarket bigging up Thanksgiving.....Wouldn't have anything to do with shifting some product would it?

One in six Brits - Why is Wrighty perpetrating such an obvious piece of BS? They really are running out of things to talk about.

Lowri's distractingly shiny these days. It's like she's got a metal face with make-up on top. I wouldn't have thought that's a look she was aiming for.

For me she is looking more like a thunderbirds puppet. All thats missing is the strings. The guest today although very nice to look at looks like an action man doll with the moving eyes the way she looks straight ahead and the eyes go from left to right.

I only caught the end of the show when they were talking about RE and whether it should include Humanism or non-religious views etc. as part of the curriculum. Lowri seemed to talk sense but I felt that Andre showed much of the problem with these issues. He was saying that he would and should be able to remove his child from the class if it included such topics. I am not sure why he is quite so threatened by his children learning about such things but he seems to be. The killer point was when he said something like, "well even if we removed them from the class, at home we could still let them know what we want them to..." then trailed off a little. The word he was getting towards was clearly "believe". In other words "we will let them know what we want them to believe". He did mention how when they are older they can question things but frankly it is often a bit late by then.

If there is one area where it should be up to the individual it is surely this type of belief in whatever form it takes. "Teaching" young kids what to believe with the obvious implication that they will be disappointing their parents if they do not fall in line is precisely why schools should inform the kids about all possible ideas. From what I have seen of him I was not surprised but it still annoyed me. It was also depressing that he dismissed non-religious people and views due to being a minority of people. That was wrong on many levels, and at least MW pointed that out. Again, why is he so threatened by his kids learning facts about how there are lots of differing beliefs just because that includes non-religious beliefs?

I hope Storm realises if she goes to Bollywood she'll never be spoken of again, as if she never existed in the first place - Just like Seema and Kirsty.
Speaking of Kirsty what's happened to her?
I was under the impression that she was coming back after she had her baby.
Has she left for good?

I think she makes a living selling pics to Hello! and shitrags like that these days although how long that will continue on the back of her ever-dwindling "fame" from TWS, who knows?

Matthew said the other day, that someone will be back for a special visit on the last show of the year, the 18th. I didn't catch who he said though, as he was gabbling so fast. Could it be Kirsty or Seema ?
