The Wright Show seem determined to blame England fans when it's well known the Russians are the problem and bad organisations from the French. Funny they didn't mention the Russians charging England supporters in the stadium after the game...

Also I don't usually watch this as I'm working, but I find Wright's mouth a little strange...

What a potty mouth show today. MW clearly didn't hear the callers f bomb, must have had screechy in his ear telling him to apologise. Followed by JLS guy throwing in a sh1t mid sentence. No apology for that from MW, he must have given up.
Missed that - have only had the show on in the background today. Have to say, I'm losing interest. Same nonsensical subjects covered, same boring guests. Most subjects stolen from either the Daily Fail or Mumsnet. Boring, boring, boring. And I have been feeling increasingly cross when MW yells at either his guests or telephone callers, who he has asked to call, doesn't let them finish their sentence. He needs a slap!

Mouth like a cat's arse. He's famous for it. You'll be hypnotised by his triangular eyebrows if you stare long enough.

...

Couple of hours off to watch the footie has no comparison with parents taking their brats on holiday in term-time for a week. Not that a baseless comparison has ever stopped TWS from manufacturing a spurious TP about it!

Thought this would have been front and centre this morning. Bob going down like a bucket of sick with the fishermen.

Interesting that I haven't seen the news cover this. Bob Geldof is a saint as far as mainstream media is concerned.

I made a comment in a thread on DS yesterday how I can't stand these celebrities who make out that they're left wing but don't represent most people I know in any way at all.
In most cases they're as distant from Joe Public as the politicians they condemn.

Credit to the left wing people on the boat who left it in disgust.

Khan is not onto something Matthew so stop trying to lead his pr campaign. Put wheatley up there on the poster and then see the complaints coming in. No airbrushing in the world will help her.
If people feel shame for seeing attractive people in the media, then is it that they're deliberately being shamed, or that they feel internal shame which comes from within and are trying to outwardly project the guilt onto something external?

Isn't it like an admission to themselves that they're not in good shape and are instead trying to blame it on somebody else?
To complain about it is almost like an unintended admission that you actually aren't in a healthy shape.

I don't think anybody is trying to shame fat people. The shaming they are blaming others of attacking them with is I feel the shame which they have generated themselves about themselves which has come from within.

There was also a video of some of the fishermen involved reacting to Geldof as well. They got really wound up with him and all the other 'luvvies' on that boat as well but all we got this morning was 'lets laugh at farage, isn't it funny' when there is a real serious side to this. Hes on question time tonight and i'm sure there will be many uses of the word racist used. Hope somebody has a go at his behaviour yesterday. Maybe put a few of these fishermen on the show as well.

Seems the Guardian has been playing silly games again in relation to Gove on question time last night.

Watching on +1 and they cut out the word! Just a black screen for ages. Must have learnt from last time

I get the feeling that the establishment, of which I include politicians, the media, celebrities, and the business elite, think of the general public like pets or little children. As if they're too stupid to look after and think for themselves so they need to be led by them.

I'm not very comfortable with the way that this relationship appears at the moment. It makes me think of a time before the 20th century when the public were seen as little more than barely developed human beings by the people in power.

“I don’t know what this reporter is going on about. Everybody in the north-east knows it was Europe that did such damage to the fish trade. The common fisheries policy was a disaster, not just for Aberdeen, but all of Scotland. There wasn’t any future for my business. It closed as a direct result of Europe.”
I'd like to see a public apology to Gove and Matthew Wright to have some journalistic integrity and make the correction on tomorrow morning's show

The Remain campaign should not be employing these tactics.

Body shaming ads? There's criticism about this, but it's okay for men to be completely topless in adverts, films and on TV before the watershed, where topless women would not be allowed. It's a very strange world...

Used to be on TV, now it's online. A roaring success then. I don't even know why I watch the first 15 minutes of this show, 15 minutes of scripted brown nosing.
Like a lot of BBC3 stuff, it'll air on BBC2 or BBC1 also. Contractual obligation.

If they're going to put it online they should do the whole series as that's what people expect these days (and what they're doing with each case on New Blood - Case 2 going online next Thurs)

What exactly was said, please?

I thought the multiplex had gone down. My recording failed and so I put +1 on, as it's not on My5 yet (and I guess won't be now, which is a shame as I wanted to watch the papers section), but surely they can do better than a blank screen?? Even C4 have something when they have to blank it out for +1, and same with ITV.

"****ing", but just used conversationally rather than with any intent to cause Ofcom problems.

5+24 is all day now so you might get a more sensitively trimmed version on there tomorrow.

....

There's an extra portion of Dick on The Daily Politics on BBC2 today.

Ta muchly. As Michelle Pfeiffer said in an accidental outburst in the film The Fabulous Baker Boys, when Jeff and Beau Bridges were aghast at her f-bomb in front of an audience, "I *said* it. I didn't DO it!"

Did the disney channel explode in wheatleys house last night judging by that top. The Dayglo idiot would be proud.

.....
I thought Banksy had graffitied her walls in the night .

Plymouth has been given advanced warnings that Rebecca will be in/over the town in the coming week.

Switching subject to the Thames sea battle off olde westminster yesterday with Admiral Farage and captain Geldorf I thought cap'n Bob was the loser on points. If I want some rich foreigner telling me how to live my life in the UK I'll buy a copy of murdochs rag the Sun.

Things will only change if people stopped watching, which also means having it on in the background while doing other stuff, I stopped watching quite a while ago because it defeats what it set out to be 'a talk', show where guests and the public can air their views freely, I do however still frequent this thread for a bit of fun. ....honest guv

I wish Richard Madeley would present this show - don't know what the new name would be.....

I always find it a bit disconcerting to watch anyway as Matthew looks uncannily like someone I used to go out with - he was mouthy too and had to have the last word
