According to the idiot Shazia, kids carry knives because they see tooled up coppers on the street. There is literally no end to her stupidity.

The panel seem to be having a mumsnet breakdown

Is there really nothing more meaningful in the world that they could debate, that they have to talk about 2 kids dressed in scruffy outfits?

The award for "Most Trivial Topic Ever" goes to:

"Unbagging bagsied sunbeds".

Unbelievable.

....

How can the phones be "red-hot" seeing as they call people back and rarely put more than two or three callers on-air anyway (two for the sunbed topic so again, how can they be "red-hot"?). What point would there be having 50 callers waiting? How would Storm know anyway as she's just ridiculously agreeable window-dressing and just says what she's told to say? At least in the old days they had the pretence of a screened booth whereas now she might as well be just sitting as one of the audience without the fakery, parroting whatever comes through the earpiece.

and the callers that do get on are cut off fast so Matthew can get back to the sound of his own voice.

How long before Alexis is back on the panel? One week, two....?

I particularly enjoyed his contrived puzzlement as Wrighty asked him about a cook-book as if to say, "Gosh, I hadn't even thought of that despite Masterchef having been filmed MONTHS ago". Alexis, I'm willing to bet the book (A Greek cookbook I'm sure) is already designed and waiting to go to press in time for the Xmas market.

...

Gail Porter tomorrow.

Spraggan from the x factor dear god no.Nursery rhyme music. Has maccy d's given her time off.

'Amazing charismatic actor' hes playing himself one hundred percent of the time.

Laying some solid foundations for a potential skive next week. Quality work Matthew.

Gail looking more than a bit masculine with that shirt and the tattoos. Quite a change from her heyday.

I'd like Russia to win absolutely everything just to point up how corrupt and morally bankrupt sport at this level is. Tell us all something we already know but in a way it is impossible to ignore.

Theres a few iffy ones in team gb as well. Will Matthew call for them to be banned?

There was also news yesterday of an Irish boxer over alleged doping

What tears Matthew, didn't see any.
Straker

Is a bit of a wobbly voice all it takes to indicate genuine emotion/contrition? No tears - I bet most of the Russians could squeeze out a few tears if it meant escaping a ban but ahhh, she's a Brit so we'll let it slide.

All sport is corrupt at all levels. Anyone who takes it seriously as if it's clean and virtuous needs their head testing.

She could be member of the audience with that spaced out look. She'd fit right in.

Wrighty very defensive this morning. Apparently he's had a pasting on Twitter so presumably he's back to hating it like he was a few years back, before he was forced to use it in service of promoting the show.

Matthew doesn't know the meaning of balanced debate its alien to him.

More political correctness training coming up from Matthew. Time for some vodka. At least we have kev and maybe some Dick on monday if Matthews skiving tactics work.

Neighbours is today's C5 show so expect Kev to praise it like it's Citizen Kane on the small screen. I wonder how much Kev prices his integrity at? £500 an appearance? More?
