They can't afford crack over at 5HQ so they must be reduced to sniffing glue if they think people want Xmas films in August. They're a disgraceful channel, always have been.

Kev will get his bonus for the channel 5 love with big brother and the christmas shitefest in august. Are 5 on crack or something or are they just taking the piss.
The words must stick in his throat like trying to laugh at Matthews jokes. I love the irony of Christmas movies in August. Getting all Christmassy when the gardens in full bloom is wrong and yet so right !

But not as bad as one of the Sky movie channels calling itself "Christmas in July" and showing Christmas films all day every day! (No, I didn't watch any of them!)

I thought it was an original take on the fact that some shops have the stuff out now, until...

Reminds me of some bloke who made the news in our region. Like the Slade song he lived his life as if it was Christmas every day. A sad case if ever I saw one I mean how many times can you front up to Turkey and sprouts

Too right, how much cranberry and parsnips can the body take. My mistake with the song there it was Wizzard and Roy Wood who wrote that timeless Christmas ditty from the 1970s.

I hate Christmas music as well, except:

Chris De Burgh - A Spaceman Came Travelling (when that was re-released after Lady In Red was a hit, in 1986, and the charts were announced and they said his was the only new entry, I guessed it would be No.40. And I was right )
Greg Lake - I Believe In Father Christmas
The Waitresses - Christmas Rapping
Run DMC - Christmas In Hollis

John has been in the pie factory again.

Matthew bigging up the paralympics. If you thought the stadiums were empty during the main olympics then prepare for tumbleweed with the paras.

"How do you know when you've met your soulmate?"

Ask your stalker Wrighty!

Barnes' head now as spherical as the balls he used to leather around the pitch.

Matthew actually trying to argue the case that Team GB success in Rio might be due, in part, to the Brexit vote.

How does one even begin to put those things together?

Barnes set him straight on that nonsense.

...

Athletes are the most selfish, self-obsessed people on the planet (most will readily admit this) next to Hollywood movie stars. They have to be, to do what they do but to call them "heroes" just appalls me. What they do is entirely for themselves, driven by their own innate personal desires to win while they just happen to be wearing the flag so a sense of perspective should be engaged when talking about this however that seems to be a forlorn hope.

The same way he set the Brexit campaign straight when they named him as a supporter

I bet Barnes doesn't talk this quickly when he's ordering a Pastie Party Bucket at Greggs.

"I've turned up to work worse for wear but I don't sit here moaning about it" says The Sick Man of Europe who never bangs on about his ailments or sniffles. Yes, not booze-related but the same principle applies.

No, I don't recognise her either!, my money was on a much older weird looking woman that was forever in the audience that used to clap and laugh like mad, I haven't seen there for a few weeks now!.... I don't watch BOTS so I don't know if it is the same one you are talking about there sue!....... Personally I have wondered in the past if it is a good idea to have the same people in the audience so often!, there are a few that are there frequently......

Peep Show? Hugely respected and talented stand-up comic, writer and actor. Radio 4 stalwart for years and I freely admit to being smitten with her. Ellis James is a lucky man.

I just googled her.
Never heard of her, but I thought she was great!

Who was the other lady on today's panel?
I didn't catch her name so can't google her.

She looks vaguely familiar, did she used to be on Eastenders years ago???

Maybe Matthew could end up going on Kyle to confront his stalker/fan and end up having a big love in or maybe a punch up or two. He could also sort out his hatred/passion for the kyle. Lowri could hold his hand, with the dayglo idiot Yas and john leslie whoop whooping in the audience. Stormy to be revealed as his long lost daughter etc. A ratings winner for sure.

One can dream.
