John Barnes is doing my head in.
Me too. He's almost as bad as Matthew for butting in, and he talks so fast it's difficult to understand what he is saying anyway.

Sorry, I know this is yesterday's topic, but have to agree with you about calling sports people "heroes", never mind how many medals they might win.
More of this today. I'm surprised by this time they're not being called Superheroes as if they're bloody Marvel characters or something.

Wrighty: "We'll let him choke on his digestives at home" he says about a caller who disagrees with him. Said with a smirk but still...

...

Judy's as bad as Dr David and Jezza Edwards in banging on about America. We've all been there luv, it's not 1950 anymore with people living and dying without stepping foot outside the country.

They're saving that for the big parade in Manchester - like they haven't spent enough money on them already!

Don't find the bloke funny at all but then thats just me. He used to do the brekkie show on xfm and it was just painfully unfunny. He'd come from 6 music and i got the clear impression he wanted to go straight back every single day he was on.

His stuff on The Now Show is excellent and compared to most of the guests on this show he's vastly preferable to another idiot from Hollyoaks or some tatty show Five are trying to plug.

Agree with you on that. I only know him from xfm and a bit of 6 music.

10 million people watch Bake-off Wrighty. That's nearly ten million more than watch yours.

And Matthew what about all that poisonous people killing cake ingredient called sugar that you whine on about all the time. Not a peep.

I particularly like it when three of the people on the panel have never seen GBBO and yet all of them disparage it. Barnes watches ten minutes and doesn't get it. IIRC Wrighty's not seen Game of Thrones and rubbishes that too and his derogatory attitude to Downton Abbey (hilariously renamed Downright Shabby) came about despite never having watched that either!

UK schools weren't teaching "Duck and Cover" to children of your generation Wrighty so why say they were?

They're bad enough at the best of times but they really get on my tits when he's abusing people who've taken the time to phone in to contribute to the debate and they start their sycophantic giggling.
