Also duck and cover was only in America surely?
My mother remembers being taught duck & cover in UK in early to mid 50s.

Jon Holmes was a fantastic guest yesterday. Such a funny man. I can't believe they got rid of him on XFM and replaced him with Moyles.,

Don't find the bloke funny at all but then thats just me. He used to do the brekkie show on xfm and it was just painfully unfunny. He'd come from 6 music and i got the clear impression he wanted to go straight back every single day he was on.
Much funnier than that moron Moyles.

Totally agree with you. Haven't listened to xfm since he and his pals came on.

How can you say he's "funnier than Moyles" after saying you don't find him funny at all? It makes absolutely no sense.

Jon Holmes is an eight-time Sony Award-winning and double BAFTA-winning British writer, comedian and broadcaster.

Irish caller is a world-class witterer. Good job Penny Smith isn't hosting otherwise it'd never end.

Judi namechecking Ray Winstone as if he's Olivier or Branagh. He was doing bit parts in Casualty 20 years ago luv and IMO that was about his level.

Hope you all savoured that Judi/John pairing because we won't be seeing it again!

"We've found a clip without a double entendre" says Matthew sarkily about GBBO. This from a man who's made "Hide the Sausage" his catchphrase. Oh, the irony.

...

Anne Diamond and Oliver James/Lee Hurst next week.

No doubt Matthew will be giving Lee Hurst a hard time for expressing his non-Leftie views.

I would like to see Tony Parson on the Panel if anyone from the show is reading. He would make a great panellist.

I really wish TVKev would just get on with the TV reviews and stop with the Kev & Matt show of unfunny joshing that takes up all the time.

Kev making sure he gets the channel 5/viacom bonus for bigging up bear on big bro. If he wins will he be on with wrighty? Kev still the best part of the week.

Lee is back again. Like judy and john we may never see him with yas ever again. They made such a wonderful pairing, so much tension.

I wish John Barnes would just shut up
I had a hard time understanding him. I hope he isn't invited back... one of the worst panellists ever.

That's not Wrighty's generation though. They weren't teaching duck and cover to 10 year olds in the mid-70s.

In Manchester, we lost Tim Cocker and Producer Jim to Moyles. I put it on for five minutes. Moyles was playing Girls Aloud. WTF?! Haven't been back. Moyles is a cancer on broadcasting.

Oliver James is a good panellist - Shame he's not doing the week. Advertisers must be hating him though!

Seems odd that they've got four guests, it's a bank holiday and yet a regular-length show.

And Tories won't like him either for calling the Blessed Margaret as 'The Witch'

Milked for SIX HOURS a day! Cows get more time off!

...

More Thatcher bashing! I think Oliver would like to dig her up and reanimate her just so he could murder her himself!

And now sticking up for Corbyn. If only we could tell what his politics are, but he's so damned hard to read.

Going to the audience with the insanely beautiful Storm also in the picture just underlines what a bunch of weirdos he gathers there every weekday. It's a damning indictment when the Jeremy Kyle audience is better looking and more genetically healthy!

Maybe they double booked. I thought Anne Diamond was out of favour.I see Matthew's still talking loudly over anyone who disagrees with him.
