Did that man just say that the dreadful death of lee rigby was just a small thing ? Matthew quickly said not for his family but I thought he was a counsellor, hope he's more sympathetic with his patients !

More corbyn love.

Go live in scandinavia then Oliver. Somehow i don't think you will move from the cotswolds. The hardship.

Caroline Flint getting a right pasting there from Oliver - "Detritus". Would not like to be on the wrong side of him!

I wasn't paying full attention and I'm not seeking to defend him, but I think he meant "a small thing" as in not a major terrorist attack that led to multiple deaths.
Obviously devastating to Led Rigby's friends and family and I think it was devastating to the public too in its unprovoked violence, but not a 7/7 type thing.

Fully admit I could have entirely misinterpreted his meaning though.

Ann has a bee in her Beeb bonnet there about exec pay. She must not be being offered any gigs from Auntie currently!

I very much doubt that, he comes across as a smug and arrogant p***k, the sort of man who is determined never to lose and argument, as for his deep hatred of Richard Dawkins ?

Wrighty saying he's only ever had "a flicker - a second of interest in having kids". We've discussed this before but that is completely at odds with someone who's been through IVF as he has. Does that mean he was just going through the motions or pressured into it by his other half at the time? I find that freely stated contradiction deeply, deeply odd.

...

Against expectations the Bake Off guest is actually coming out with some good stuff. Even Oliver nodding his head in agreement with her!

Who is this ridiculous woman whose husband actually wrote to their MP about safety in churches? "Are the doors locked?" Cretins.

They did. And this is what the photographer who took the shot had to say about that poster.

The same people also believed there would be an end to migration so it's quite amusing the Calais issue may put the problem right on the doorstep of UK on our soil!

"If someone kicks a ball into your garden should you keep it?"

All the big subjects.

Nobody cares about Prog Rock Wrighty so tease away!

Barbet tomorrow as Wrighty goes on a well-deserved (sic) skive.

Dick fans sigh with disappointment as they realise how close they came to an unexpected length.

Looks like the badger has been relegated as Wrighty has a new cause to champion in those nasty parakeets. Probably taking tomorrow off to go to hamleys to get a cuddly toy version

Grown up Matthew tomorrow, it would have been nice to have a bit of dick though.

I'm disappointed, would have much preferred Madeley. Maybe he's too expensive or too popular?

Saw Barbet on the 73 bus last week. One of the media gentrifiers to Stoke Newington. Very short and nowhere near as handsome in real life as he is on the telly.

The little hockey goalie was a bit of cutie to my surprise. I keep getting reminded of the Phantom of the opera when I see the protective masks they wear. I thought she might be the usual jolly hockey sticks type but the effective thorough research she'd put in on her opposing players paid dividends this year.

Re the poster ( and I do not agree with Farage ) an off topic point but at the time they picked up on the white guy on the right and said they tried to hide him with a caption , he was actually a Police Officer wearing the same uniform as the ones at the front.

As for the Calais issue, to my mind this could be stopped if they reintroduced borders within Europe , still have a Schengen Visa but show your papers when moving between countries rather than wandering at will once you land and ignore the first safe place . And if the French wish to move the border from Calais they will of course have to under the mutual agreement remove their border guards and police ( armed officers) from the UK at ports and St Pancras where they check papers, and they still could/should not knowingly send illegal immigrants to the UK .

Apparently next week's shows are an education debate special. Can't remember them having a subject theme for a week before. Expect Simon With The Melted Face will pipe up. Oh and Yas is back with Stefan the gastronaut, if that is an actual job title.

God no, Gastroprat and Yas on the same panel. Two of the most sanctimonious creatures to grace our screens. Better stock up on the vodka then as i see fingers being pointed pointedly at me in my future.

Corbyn's been a running theme for over a year now!

Dom Littlewood - Tedious man.

Ann Diamond is the meat in a slaphead sandwich today.

Nice, just got some sick in my mouth with that image in my head. Off to scrub my brain clear.

"How hard can it be to run a rail-service?" asks Dom.

Pretty bloody difficult I'd say. Why on earth would anyone think it was easy?

He appears on BBC Radio 5Live's weekly TV Review hour on Tuesday 3pm very often. Usually saying exactly the same things....."always nice to see new faces, welcome back Sharon Osborne"....etc etc.

I thought Matt Barbet did a good job today. I take back my sniffy comments about him. He seemed more relaxed in the role today than I've seen him previously.
Only slip up he made was saying to Anne "you've had 5 sons brought up to adulthood", and she politely said "brought up 4", still smiling, bless her, as ofcourse she lost one of her sons, Sebastian, in a 'cot death'.

I can't stand Yasmin or the pompous arse gastronome (another media gentrifier to N.16) so I'll be boycotting the show next week.
