I missed Mathew Kelly's gaffe, but did catch Mark Foster's.
I searched the story because I didn't see how crowd-funding a defence was particularly note-worthy. Families have effectively done that for years. Even asking strangers to contribute isn't a new thing, even with the greater reach the internet gives.
I thought the facebook story was potentially quite interesting.
I quit facebook years ago, partly because of the rampant over-sharing of photos and every aspect of people's lives.
I don't need to know that much about even close friends.
I guess he could have been using the European court simply as a reference, but it felt like he was tying it to the story.
