I agree, but if I was Amelia, I would not want to hear him repeatedly say he doesn't like or want children, even if he was doing it as some sort of therapy for himself.

I think he'd be absolutely thrilled to become a dad. He'd cry on air when he broke the news, imo.

I am not a regular viewer of this programme as I work... but as I have a week off this week I have watched it a couple of times.. and it is preferable to watching that dire Jeremy Kyle show.

I find MW infuriating at times. The way he constantly interrupts people when they are talking is annoying.

And he is incredibly rude at times to people phoning in, even cutting them off when they are still talking.

He really comes across as someone who is full of his own self importance.

I agree 're the children. He doesn't have to mention the not having children at all, never mind going on about them all the time.14 attempts at ivf is a hell of a lot. I would have thought even the most desperate for a chikd would have called it a day. Anyway, I'm only watching this cos I'm off sick, but is Yvette Fielding a complete idiot? She's really irritating me.

Yes, I would agree with that.

I suspect he would too.

I find YF very irritating too.

Being an idiot is the least of her flaws.

...

My, hasn't Gaby been in the wars? No sense of her overdramatising these events is there? I wonder if she's just generated herself a couple of h£adline paragraphs in the tabs?

I'm usually at work as well but when I'm off I sometimes watch but always end up with my blood boiling! I'm trying to watch the episode today on +1 and the way he was with the callers who wanted to talk about pensions just infuriated me, talking over them, haranguing them and then cutting them off. You can see he loves the power of being able to cut people off and shout over them. He really is a tosser

Oh and he said he knows Ben Needham's mother. Quelle surprise!

Apparently Craig does The Saturday Show with Gaby. Found three different birth dates for him online - 1976, 77 and 79 and bafflingly an entry saying he's married to a woman!?!!?!?!

Comrade Little again next week. My heart sinks whenever he's lined up. Suzy Amy's alright I suppose...

A pity that when the tv critic met movie star Sam Neill this week , Sam didnt do a Dead Calm move and pull out a flare gun and burned out his cold dead eyes

Excellent! I really like Mark Little. He's one of my favourite panellists.

Comrade little again. Better stock up on the vodka. Just in time for the glorious labour leadership election. Full on corbyn love for a week. Will he have washed his hair or still look like he sells the big issue outside whiteleys shopping centre.

Craig definitely has one of Gabys magic mirrors in his house.

He either doesn't want children, so why have all the IVF, or he does but says he doesn't to cover the pain that the IVF sadly hasn't worked.”

You both missed the point. If genuinely so desperate for children, why not adopt? That was Storm's quick as a flash answer when Wrighty posed the question about a guy who was thinking of dropping his partner because IVF had failed. Storm was right and instantly went up ten notches in my respect book! Mr smart arse hadn't thought it through.

IVF isn't working and didn't work with his previous wife either so maybe the real problem is 'elsewhere'.

Whats with all this woman hate for Yvette?

She's got damn good taste in cars. Three Aston Martins, Porsche 911 and a Chesil Speedster which is a hand built copy of the Porsche 356. Oh, and she lives on a large farm near me.

You'd think Fielding would own a Rolls Royce Phantom but perhaps that's a bit real and tangible for her.....

Adoption isn't easy. It's not just 'pick a child out of a catalogue'. It's a rigorous process, and many of the children have come from very difficult beginnings. i suspect he would be an unsuitable adoptive parent.

Yes, I suspect his real problem is that both his wives wanted children, but he is unable to have them. Which is, of course, a tragedy for him, but he acts like such a dick about it.

She's away with the fairies, and finds it hard to understand the most basic concepts, like pay per view telly! How can she afford all those cars? From Blue Peter and that crappy ghost programme? God know how much successful presenters are paid!

Didn't she say she doesn't watch telly, like people in the eighties used to as if they were above it all somehow which is ironic when you think of the utter, utter shite that Fielding pollutes the airwaves with.

I agree, it is tv that has enabled her to afford all those flashy cars.
She is known for her tv programmes, who would have heard of her if no one watched them.
Even appearing on I'm a Celebrity....tv show... last year.
So it's good enough to be on, but she's above watching it herself.

Didn't miss the point, adoption has, as far as I recall, never been discussed as an option for the Wrights. I agree with Storm, why not adopt? Adoption doesn't seem a route they want to try. Or if they do, Matthew has been very quiet about it.
I think it would be wonderful if they adopted, but it appears they would like to have a child with their DNA.

Adoption isn't particularly easy. For the man in the story (and perhaps for Matthew and Amelia too) having a child with his DNA might be more important than simply having a child.

The man in question might not find it

I know it's not and it's not been helped by all the benefits now thrown at young, often very young single mothers, enabling them to keep the child and play the welfare system for the next 20 years. To keep the funding going they just have more kids. It's a licence to print money.

However adoption is achievable for those prepared to try. The other alternative of course is fostering though i take my hat off to anyone who can do that. A neighbour of mine is one such person. She struggled to have children, went through IVF with her (then) husband, only to eventually find he was having affairs with other women. She immediately stopped her IVF and divorced him. But she didn't sit around moping. She is a respite carer for a little foster boy. She works full time too hence the reason she can only do it on a respite basis.

She is absolutely brilliant with children and would have made a lovely mum. Life can be cruel sometimes but i'm full of admiration for her. She's a wonderful lady and credit to herself.

Exactly. He needs a kick up the backside to stop behaving with such petulance.
