Can Matthew talk to any caller without being rude and patronising?

Fairbrass and Lambykins next week.

Show runs until 11.40 next week and presumably through until they break for Xmas.

I didn't hear Matthew acknowledge Grimbo being in the audience today.
Could she have been a bit jealous of the regulars that followed to Manchester, and are now 'celebrities' in their own right, so thought she'd better put in a TWS appearance, before they all forget who is the original audience 'celeb'

Only during his brief two day trip to Manchester. I just knew that wouldn't last long!

She hasn't changed a bit from her usual 'glam' appearance! Maybe she's hoping for a part as the frog in the Christmas panto special?

Wrighty does seem to attract some weird oddballs among his audience regulars.

Yes the love in Madchester didn't last long once he was back dahn sarf. Wonder how long he could have held back his real personality up north before he snapped at a Manc?

Didn't notice Grimbo. What a shame

BIB what say the usual suspects on this thread all apply to be in the audience on the same day? Reckon we'd run rings around him tho poor Stormy would need to keep her hand on her ha'penny (yes MITP and Straker I do mean you)

He wouldn't have lasted long but some straight to the point Gallagher type would have given him short shrift with a mouthful of verbals!

I noticed Grimbo in the audience and was surprised she wasn't given a mention. I bet she was spitting feathers! Anyway I thought she'd "retired" from her celebrity position on TWS anyway?!?

Luddites on the panel all afraid of the iPlayer for some reason.

What's the point in having someone on promoting a show that finished last week and hasn't got a third series confirmed?

Wrighty letting us know he lives in Camden again, "one of the most ethnically diverse areas of the country" apparently. I'm sure that's news to the residents of Primrose Hill.

He's pathalogically incapable of admitting he's not a man of the people, but rather a pampered, PRIMROSE HILL dwelling, rich luvvie.

Today's Screechy given a name - Leoni.

The illusion is shattered. Next he'll be telling us there's no Santa.

...

Oh good, someone from Hollyoaks is on. I was worried it'd been cancelled because it's been nearly a week since the last cast member was on.

What would TWS do without The Daily Mail, Mumsnet and Hollyoaks?

Seems not, he did the same thing this morning and I bet he does the same thing tomorrow morning and Wednesday and ... and .....
At a guess I'd say Matthew would be pretty hard to live with and I pity his wife, he has a very strange and ugly personality.

Good show - bad presenter.

Frankie Cocozza would make a comeback

Bit rich for a showbiz hack like Wrighty criticising a proper journo - Laura K. Self-awareness not his strong point though is it?

Fairbrass is tiresome. Tempted to call him a dick but he'd probably like that!

Caller talking in a string of cliches - End of the Day, Cards on the table, Pig in a poke. If people read more they'd have a vocabulary that stretched beyond a few "catchphrases".

Second caller getting both barrels from Wrighty as well. Business(!) as usual.

I've never heard of Amanda Lamb before but I'm extremely impressed with her. I'd love to hear her on Question Time.

As for Matthew Wright, whether you love him or hate him, the entire character of this very successful show is down to him. When Richard Madely stands in it always loses some of its edge and becomes a bit ITV.

Original Scottish Widow IIRC, now seems (happily?) stuck fronting property shows. One of the more tolerable regulars - Pity for her she's stuck with Fairbrass. Did we all know he's gay? Hardly ever mentions it......

Wrighty's hypocrisy showing by yet again slagging Mumsnet off while stealing the topic he's discussing from.....Mumsnet!

Bet Emma's riddled with piercings like she's been peppered with shrapnel from an IED.

Gets about half a million viewers IIRC so very successful is pushing it. Kyle gets more than twice as many eyeballs. TWS stays on-air because it's cheap and soaks up a couple of hours for not much outlay - They're famously cheap when it comes to paying staff.

Body-fascist Fairbrass thinks gym members should get a tax-rebate for being less of a burden on the NHS. And how's that different simply from taxing overweight people for being overweight Dick? It isn't.

...

Wrighty letting the last caller know that TWS is a fascist dictatorship and he gets to ask/change the questions while the callers are just fodder for his sermons. Needless to say he gave that one the bum's rush too....

How do you work that one out ? I thought he made a good point. Benefits are too low if we offered an amount for losing weight then it's a win win situation.
