Ha! Precisely!
He also does it when he's being coy or when he thinks he's slammed Kevin with an hilarious quip about how old he is.
It's quite a versatile look when I come to think about it.

I like when he cocks his head back slightly and looks down his nose while the sneer starts on the corner of his lips while at the same time leaning into the camera as if he is looking for a fight. This is usually used when he's on the phone with somebody who is going against his agenda.

My fav is the jazz hands look. Makes me laugh everytime.

Sky bunging Terry a few quid to constantly namecheck The Moaning of Life?!?

I'm appalled that Radio 4 allowed a "regional" like him on the wireless back in the eighties! I thought they had standards.....

Fiennes is a terrible actor, and something of a showkiller of late what with FlashBoreward and Camelot. Self-important tosser as well if the interviews and quotes from him are to be believed.

Bedroom tax.
Good fair talking point totally ruined by MW. Def got out of bed the wrong side this morning.

Im no fan of Terry but I felt he deliberately set out to wind Terry up. I thought Terry was quite cool in the circumstances. Nerina didnt get half of the goading, despite agreeing with Terry.

It seemed MW's attitude to Terry softened salightly after the break?

The number of times callers have been reined back for straying one notch off the subject, yet he throws in the Google tax thing for no reason and then (no) surprise runs out of time on the third call.

Amateur. Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood would make better presenters.

Ye I saw a little bit near the start which was part of the Bedroom Tax discussion. Oh boy either it is my diminishing patience or MW is really getting worse. Saying to Terry that he is disrespecting him and viewers because he won't give a basic yes/no reply to a loaded and overly simplistic question for an obviously complex issue. I agree with your assessment, amateur.

I also felt bad for Christopher (the BB evictee guest) when MW asked him a question then a couple of words in Christopher was predictably interrupted. I think he then asked him again only to interrupt again then a third time. At this point Terry interrupted Christopher a few words in. He should have said "shut the f*ck up and let me answer the question I have been repeatedly asked." So rude.

Electric dog shock collars, news must be pretty thin on the ground today. I know somebody who could use one

In the month David Bowie died Syco shite should absent themselves from public view just out of respect for real music.

Telly Kev fired?!?!? Shocker.

Caller Jeremy on a wind-up I reckon! MW cuts him off for paying the Syco act a compliment!

Tel was chuckling straightaway when Jezzer called him "That Northerner" but Wrighty taking unwanted offence on his behalf because as we all know it's only Matthew who gets to comedically insult the guests.

Matthew finally dispatches a caller that deserved it.

I suspect he was a prankster, but deserved to be cut off for being so unamusing as well as rude.

I'd dispute Jezzer calling a cover versions type "talented" but the point in general stands - TWS is not choosy when it comes to giving a platform to talentless rubbish to plug their wares so on that specific point the caller was more right than wrong.

Matthew saying christian was one of the most well read people he knew. Is he having a laugh. He's being spouting the same crap for the past 30 years.

Vodka is on order already. Cannot wait

That was a long week with christian and pallot. It felt like one long mumsnet lecture sponsored by the guardian with pallot and terrys usual musings and rantings circa 1984.

Cost-cutting, according to him. Can't imagine that someone else won't offer him a job, what with the Twitter protest and the free plug every Friday on TWS. He did look genuinely upset though so I'm concluding that there are no firm offers on the table as yet.

I know everyone wears make up when they appear on telly, but surely Terry overdid it somewhat? He looked like he was wearing a mask, and lipstick on a man should surely look natural?

Sad that he's lost his job but happens every day to many. I can't think he would want to go back to the Mirror if they did offer him his job back, I wouldn't

To be fair, every single one of us is a TV critic, it's not as if there is any specific training involved, just basically watch a lot of TV and be able to put what you think into a few words.

And he did suck up to Chanel 5 and it's god awful programmes.

I'm sure the world will move slowly on.
