He just gets worse every day. This morning he snottily told a caller on the first talking point that we shouldn't base our actions today on things that happened hundreds of years ago, then about a minute later demanded 'is that what Jesus would've done?'. He has a go at a caller for straying from the point and says 'we're just talking about Donald Trump and the Pope', then a minute later demands that another caller tells him his opinion on the pope's comments on the Zika virus. He's a ridiculously un-self aware hypocrite and I can't believe anyone bothers to call in any more.

Ahh, just business as usual then. I rarely watch these days but just caught the review this morning and thought he was being particularly rude.

I can't believe that somebody else spotted that. As I watched it I thought exactly the same thing as you and was just about to post the same thing.

And as you say, he continually reprimands people for straying from the topic, callers and panel guests alike, but he himself goes off on tangents all the time.

I'm surprised he hasn't been told to stop this. It's so unfair on the callers and frustrating for viewers. I want to cringe every time it happens

£17k isn't a lot so no wonder she was bound to move on at some point, although it was down to becoming pregnant.

Quit? Got the boot, morelike!

I don't watch X-Factor, but even when they get a pop star, Rita Ora had only had a few hits so surely they should get someone who's been round the block a few times, for the experience? It just shows they go with someone who's 'flavour of the month'.

Like most of these jobs it's sold to them as a stepping-stone, a way to build up contacts to get something more highly paid next time which was the case for Seema and others but Kirsty instead opted to flog her baby pics to Hello! Stay Classy, Kirsty.

...

Pinkers and someone I forget next week.

The topics have been drivel for about 6 years or so. The guests have gone downhill more recently, though, ever since they bought Big Brother. I'd have hoped the guests would've improved now Viacom's changes have kicked in, but rarely is this the case.

Thanks for replying anyway. Sounds like today was one of his bad days.

Unlike every other day. Maybe a "badder" day.

It's got to the point where callers must feel obliged to say to Matthew "Okay, what do you want me to say and I'll say it for you".

I know Natalie isn't the most articulate of guests, but it would be nice if she could finish her damn sentence before Matt jumps in to correct her.

Quite like how the last caller swatted away his flippant comment about forcing widows to sleep with their brother(s) in law.

Was wondering who the new regular panelist is and found this article...
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/whats...ce-boy-5834195

I remember that advert but thought I would add the link because the headline is nicely coincidental.

As for MW, he really loves a straw man argument. He doesn't even seem to realize he is doing it.

I wonder if we'll be treated to four more caps as the week unfolds? Because a baseball cap on a man of a certain age always denotes insecurity of some kind.

I presumed he was balding. It usually seems to be the case.

Regular panelist is todays special guest Janet 'right on sneary, my sophie' ellis pushing her book, to be found in The Works in a couple of weeks for pennies. Maybe one day Matthew will end up as the special guest.

A different hat but matching green top with Janet for the big issue seller.
