It would be like reverse psychology. Instead of arguing with him thus allowing him to act sanctimonious and as though you're an idiot for disagreeing with him and for not playing ball, everyone just agreed with him so easily it would make a mockery of the show.”

It'd be nice if enough callers were more switched on. One woman came through on a topic last week where there was about 60 seconds left to talk, "Well, let me tell you a funny story, blah, blah, blah, (not getting to the point)", Matthew tells her she now has 30 seconds and she repeats her opening gambit before he cuts her off as they're out of time. Just get to the bloody point when you get through! Never mind "Hello", just get on with your point - even though you've already told the researcher team and they've put the caption up, with another one under Matthew's camera telling him what they're about to say and who the caller is (which makes Storm redundant, really)

Too many subjects each show and everything entirely dominated by Matthew.
The focus of any conversation will be broad or impossibly narrow at his whim, or so it seems.

Although it wasn't my experience with the teachers I had at high school, I can see there could very likely be gender-based reasons why some men and women choose particular careers.
Of course that doesn't explain or excuse why men are often still paid more than women when doing exactly the same job (not that you were suggesting it does )”

That's the shame with this show. In that sometimes it does pick a decent topic, but it hardly ever goes into real discussion. It's just like most of the internet where Matthew wants someone to say whether it's either a 'good' or 'bad' thing and then blathers all over people whatever they say.

Are men paid more than women for doing exactly the same job?
I don't expect you to go off running around for me, but do you happen to have any links at hand that I can read which reflect this?

Wasn't it said on the show recently that it's more the other way round now?

Women aren't interested in equality - They want inequality in their favour.

Evidence please, or is that just an opinion. Actually, no need to answer that, I already know it.

I did a quick Google search and this was the first link that pops up. It has graphs and stats with explanations.

No doubt there will be more information out there.
As with anything, some people will take some statistics and present it in terms of being factual in regard to the opinion they want to put across. When in reality correct interpretation of statistics is what provides truth.

Known Matthew longer he's like an annoying little brother you just want to keep beating whereas corbyn is like a doddery old uncle with bad dress sense and smell and you just want to avoid.

I will be perfectly honest with you, no I don't have any links.
It isn't even my experience, as far as I'm aware, that men are paid more than women in the same job. Not in any job I've ever had.
We're constantly being told that this is the case, so in some sectors or jobs/careers, so at the risk of assuming, I guess this is the case.

So basically, I did make a comment that I can't back with evidence other than what we're regularly told on news reports.

It seems that every time he asks someone to be quick because he's just managed to squeeze another call in, that caller then has the most rambling delivery of their point.

How can the police knock on your car window and tell you not to smoke in the car when you have children in there if there is no law against it, Matthew?

Is that what he just said or did I mishear him?

Yes, I first noticed that three years ago. I was just walking down the road when I stopped to go into the laundrette. The weather was sunny at the time, and... etc

Then, pause "hello? hello? Sorry, I can't hear you...".
Followed by Matthew having to explain that reason the caller can't hear him is because he's listening to the caller and not talking.

Could Wrighty's comments about capitalism have been any more offensive. I wish he just bugger of to that hippy camp in the woods and take that commie neighbours idiot with him.

MW saying 'Nice talking to you' to a caller, but should've been 'Nice talking over you.' I haven't watched this for ages, nothing changes I see! MW still interrupts and spends most of the show doing the talking. Let people speak
