Followed by Matthew having to explain that reason the caller can't hear him is because he's listening to the caller and not talking. ”

I couldn't hear you, Anya. Let me just turn my TV down

Jeez, if your pet eats something such as fabric or ribbon, please don't pull on it as it starts to emerge. Could be doing all kinds of damage to your pets insides.

You mean it won't produce a bunch of fake flowers?

I know Mark has the beard for the play he's in, but he could at least wash his hair. It's like that every time he's on, lank greasy strands, what a sight.

The ramblings of some callers as posted above, remind me of the Rik Mayall character Kevin Turvey, who used to talk like that, long winded explanations when a couple of sentences would do. He was my favourite Rik Mayall character.

Lately it seems that any caller that precedes their call with their age is practically guaranteed to talk shite thereafter, never getting to the point if indeed they ever had one to make. It's only a matter of time before one of them ends the call with "Now what did I come in here for....?" and just wanders off.

We're constantly being told that this is the case, so in some sectors or jobs/careers, so at the risk of assuming, I guess this is the case.

So basically, I did make a comment that I can't back with evidence other than what we're regularly told on news reports.”

I did find a link which I posted a few posts above yours.

So although there is an element of truth to it, the reality isn't quite what you'd imagine it to be.

The problem with stats is that they aren't always the truth in themselves, it all depends on how a person interprets them.
What sounds like a simple question which has a definitive answer can in actual fact be broader than what it seems and be misinterpreted.

Like you we all make that mistake about a subject we are unfamiliar with. The news reports something and we tend to absorb it, especially if it's repeated often enough to us. I'm probably as guilty of that as anybody else. Most of us just don't have the time to scrutinise whatever gets reported in the media that closely, and much of it must just sinks in and becomes a belief.

The poster child for dumbing-dahn (sic) is the "special" guest today. If only for wiping her off our TV screens, it was worth shutting down BBC3 just to get rid of her.

Does Little reckon that horrible hair makes him look arty or something?

Are all these prostitutes girls or "gewls" as this ****wit would have us believe or are they in fact "women"?

Yesterday they were humans today numbers tomorrow it might be fractions, oh the humanity of it all. Matthew obviously doesn't like erdogan.

Little is obsessed with fascists, has he not met the corbynistas?

Matthew you have a big gaff in leafy primrose hill put a few up there. They are in the island of lesvos which is only a few miles off the coast of Turkey not the greek mainland, you could make that clear and dooley as well as she has been there.

So whatever dooley says matthew takes as gospel. Another topic where matthew has the chance to end on a political rant.

I wonder if Wrighty has a bit of a crush on Dooley? Would explain why he eulogises this idiot like she's John Pilger.

Thought Matthew didn't know where he stood on the referendum.

What about the whistleblower on the mid staffs scandal little, who was hounded out of her job and the result of the enquiry(white wash) last week where nobody was held to account and wasn't covered by wrighty. Nah don't cover this but just have a childish dig at Hunt

Why not look at the big child presenting this program and the many tantrums he has on his show when things don't go his way.

Dooley please go away. I need vodka fast.

"You agree with me and that's the most important thing" he says as he cuts another caller short.

Tell us something we didn't already know Wrighty, although it's handy to have that on record. I reckon I'll be referring back to this post very often....

And he bins off the last caller before he's even finished a sentence and purely because he was disagreeing with Wrighty.

He's lost what's left of his tiny mind.

I find Dooley's glottal stops grating, but the fact that her accent is one normally associated with thick chavs disguises the reality that she is exceptionally well informed and perfectly capable of standing up for herself in any discussion. The first time I saw her I assumed she was a spoof, but I've gradually come round to liking her. I can imagine that people must like working with her because she comes across as being totally natural and appears to have no ego whatsoever. I still wish she'd make at least a bit of effort to lose some of the Essex girl mannerisms though as it makes it look as if the posh knobs at the BBC only employ her for her credibility with the 'yoof', which would be incredibly patronising.

I only remembered Mark Little by his name from his Big Breakfast days. I'd never have recognised him by sight alone.
