She had a grat point though and well put across. I remember all the family holidays as if they were yesterday, times that I can still visualise, however when it comes to that 'never to be forgotten' moment on televison, I find a few months down the line I have forgotten it.

I remember many family holidays - All of them miserable in wet shitholes around the country or getting dragged to some golf town so my dad could spend the week on a golf course. However I can remember every episode of Dr Who from my childhood and those are happy memories!

Well said Miles Hunt about people who kill animals for fun, they are definitely psychopaths. That **** William is a total hypocrite, he is a patron of The Tusk Trust yet thinks trophy hunting is okay.

I can't dispute your sad memories of times past on your holidays. My parents always seemed to make it fun and explore the delights of the UK and the continent. Back in those days tv was not a 24/7 activity, especially during the day when the 'test card' was a regular feature!!

As for Dr Who, it was on at around 5:05pm after the football results on a Saturday, and was only a 25 minute programme. I was always facinated with the Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart who I always thought he looked like the BBC tv newsreader Richard Whitmore.

These days there are far too many tv programmes available to make any of them memorable.

Penny's natural wacky sense of humour gets me all the time. Dominics about as funny as a month away in Russia with your roubles cut off !

Depends if you watch indiscriminately or not. Far too many people treat TV like my dad (there's a theme developing here...) used to treat the radio - Always on.

I hate people who say "I don't watch TV" or "I haven't got a telly" and then expect a round of applause for their pious self-denial. Television is a medium just the same as film, books, music (how ironic bearing in mind today's guest), theatre etc. Crap and quality exist in all of them.

I like her sense of humour too and imagine she'd be a right laugh at any party etc. Looks pretty good for 57 too.

My flabber is well and truly ghasted.

She has been around for quite a while on TV but I would never have guessed that she is 57. Having said that she doesn't seem to have changed much in looks over the years. She's hardly aged since from around the time I first acknowledged her on television. She looks pretty much the same now as she did then.

I watched a bit of it yesterday and she could be heard in the background talking over a caller.
