No mention of the fact that those 66 labour members are being threatened with deselection by the hard left in the party. No fan of Hilary Benn but he made corbyn look like an idiot last night. Again wrighty trying to push the Corbyn is a pacifist line, what a joke.
It seems really hard for you to listen to views other than your own. I suggest you stick to the Daily Mail and other newspapers whose extreme right wing views reflect yours more closely.

This is a regular suggestion that comes up due to the distractions, and sometimes potential conflicts of interest, that having extra jobs might cause. There have been examples where the amount of other jobs some MPs hold must surely compromise their time and ability to give it their all. Given that being an MP is a somewhat unique type of job is your suggestion that unreasonable?

Incidentally I have not seen the show this week but it sounds like MW has been on especially bad form. I don't know if I am relieved or disappointed to have missed it.
How can anybody tell?, seems his normal self to me.

Just caught the last half hour on +1 and the caption says "Harry Potter star". Unless she was Dobby, I don't remember her.

So have we actually established if Nadine has quit the show, or was always just booked in for a part week?
Mind you, MW is correct, she's only from that undemocratic Parliament next to Westminster tube compared to the true vote protesting outside. Surely time for Yasmin next week up to Christmas to redress the balance.

I think MW did say last Friday that the three of them would all be on the panel, suggesting only part of the week for the women.

If she, and other MPs, have time for a full-on writing career then they're not working hard enough at the job we pay them for.

....

Badminton bint is back. As long as the discussion is about her sport or weight loss we can be sure she'll have an opinion.
So what should she do before she starts and after she finishes work? I mean if she's not allowed to write what activities would be acceptable to you?

I've said what I think. You don't mind her scribbling, jungleing, panelling and cashing cheques - Good for you.

So this is in relation to Nadine? Before and after work she can sleep. She can eat at her desk. Ablutions can be carried out during her lunch (half) hour.

Seriously, it could be argued that if you want to be an MP, with all that implies, you should be willing to commit 100% and no less. Otherwise let someone else do it who will give it absolutely everything.

She might say that writing relaxes and re-energizes her in the same way others might watch TV or read and obviously you need to have breaks to be able to give it your best. I am not quite sure that would be true though. This might be because she has already blotted her copybook with the jungle show, however. Regardless, the fact that she earns money from another source is always going to raise eyebrows, especially when it involves a job that surely takes time and effort.

There are jobs that stipulate in the contract that you are not allowed other jobs while hired. Normally this is due to the perceived importance of total commitment and focus. This same reason leads many people to call for a similar situation to be enforced with MPs. I am not saying that is the correct opinion but I do have sympathy with the concept. One way of putting it is, "If you want to run the country, take that responsibility on completely, or not at all".

Next week's shows (and presumably up until Xmas) run to 11.45. I hope he takes the extra time to talk some more about Jeremy Corbyn - Poor chap hardly gets a look-in on The Wright Stuff!

It was 83 days of love from you Matthew for corbyn until today. Are you switching your love to Hilary for that one speech. A knee-jerk reaction maybe
