How annoying!....... the only day of the week I have to go out and!...... Richard is on!..... I managed to see a little bit at the start of the show but that is all...... What a treat it is when he is on the show!...... Matthew did 'mumble' (as per usual)..that he was going to a funeral on Friday that was why Richard was taking over for the day....

Is it because he just stands in that we appreciate him all the more and don't have time to get tired of him?....... I loved it when he took over on Radio 2 for Terry Wogan when he took his breaks and dare I say?... when Terry passed away, I was getting quite excited thinking maybe Richard would get the job permanently!.... He didn't but the gorgeous Michael Ball did so I am quite happy with that and just hope that maybe Richard will carry on as stand in when Michael is on holiday!......

So. There I was. With Judy. We were... watching TV. And Matthew Syed came on. With his mid-Atlantic pronunciations. Which are... JUST as annoying. Here. As they are on the Sky Paper Review.

Oooooooh Matthew not happy that Labour are getting it in the neck! Seemingly thinks only the Conservatives should get bad press!

It's full on save labour mode today. Yes Matthew it's all the right wing presses fault and they made Ken and all the others say what they said. It's been going on for months Matthew and you and others have done your best to ignore it but Ken pulled the pin on that grenade on Thursday and somehow it's a smear on labour. Cloud cuckoo land time and more vodka I think.

Where does Matthew find the time to canvas all these random, topic-convenient friends? By his own admission he goes home and watches kids telly in the afternoon!

The panel have had a long time to think up those questions about stalking for the expert, which they're really just given on a card, by the hard-working team of researcher!

Maybe, but that expert is seriously impressive and whoever thought the questions up, that was a good section.

The front row of the audience today sounded like the monkey house at the zoo.
Were they Jonathan's fans?

Yes, she was great. Really knew her stuff and explained everything very clearly. It's such a shame that really interesting segments like this get lost in amongst the 10,000th topic on vaping and Matthew ranting at people.

Are you really sure about that? I think this will change your opinion of her.

Only the people involved know the truth or otherwise of that story, but it doesn't change the fact that she seemed very knowledgeable about the subject and spoke well on it. If there is proof that things she said on the Wright Stuff were untrue, then that's a different story.

That's just crazy if that's the conclusion he drew from all this.
It was Labour's own politicians who kicked up a fuss about it. Like John Mann using it as an opportunity to use the media to showboat.
The media simply reported on the carnage going on within the Labour Party while the Conservatives mainly watched from the sidelines and allowed Labour politicians to do the damage to themselves.

Enough for the CPS to drop the case but it seems she's given to making wild allegations, enough for a former MP to ask the Charities Commission to investigate her activities. One thing for sure, her cv is far from 'impressive' and hardly deserving of being called 'great'!

Not really the most ideal person to bring on with a background history such as hers.

One of the issues they were talking about on the show was that lots of cases get dropped because of the difficulty of proving it, it doesn't always mean it didn't happen - I don't know either way. I never commented on her cv, just that I thought she spoke well on the subject of stalking. Presumably Matthew's 'team of researcher' knew about her background before they asked her on and they obviously didn't think it was a barrier to her talking about the subject.

TWS is pretty good at getting 'experts' with zero credibility on the show. Ms Richards appears driven by money and power rather than the welfare of genuine victims. Pity Mr Fletcher or Ms Bowater didn't phone in, but then their calls would only have been blocked.

Looks like three more labour members have been found out

How will Matthew spin this I wonder or is it still a smear campaign?

Whittingdale again. Matthew give it a rest. You have been banging on for 3 weeks about this but today you are trying to get as far away as possible from the Anti semitism in Labour that exploded over the weekend. Priorities prioities.
