Fulfils my criteria for "journalist" quite adequately.
... oops... double post!

Conveniently enough for you argument.
I sense you're implying some sort of bias. I have no political affiliations or preference for the Tories or UKIP (In or Out). I just wanted to see a fair debate with questions (not barracking statements masquerading as them) from a cross-section of the public.

She seems quite capable of puffing up her own credentials so it's unfortunate in this instance they've shown her up to be a plant.

Secondly, this is the one that really gets me, what 'vested interests' is she supposed to be representing? Or could it be that, in this case, talk of vested interests is a load of the usual conspiratorial cobblers dreamed up by some blogger (yes) at Guido Fawkes and lapped up by people who want to believe it?
A reading of her Linked In page should fill you in and maybe a rewatch of the ambush questioning last night.

Lastly, I'm assuming that no-one believes an 'unbiased' audience drawn from Members of the General Public is actually possible?
Be just super to see them make the effort wouldn't it? Apparently ITV couldn't even be bothered to try.

Who is she a plant for?

I notice that Guido Fawkes described her as a blogger not a journalist - they don't know much there but they do know the difference between a professional journalist and a wannabe journalist/ self-publicist/ sh*t-stirrer or blogger if you prefer. Well, they would know the difference, after all.

I've just read her LinkedIn page in greater depth and I can't see anything that would disallow her from appearing on a discussion programme on the EU referendum. What interest group is she supposedly representing that should disbar her from asking Nigel Farage a question?

This isn't an argument about how biased or unbiased this woman is and whether she had some sort of hidden agenda, it's just that I'm not sure how an ITV researcher is supposed to look at her CV, and her published articles, and say, "We can't have her on this show".

I'll just leave you with this as my final word on the matter:

The woman who aggressively questioned UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage during the ITV debate yesterday has admitted that she was not selected as a member of the general public.

Not....a member of the general public.

Ha! Fair enough then, so who else was in the audience who was supposed to be a 'member of the public' then? She's obviously a fruitcake.

I would still maintain that this is about ITV cynically trying to create an entertaining TV show than any kind of conspiracy in support of 'vested interests'.

Give Yas and Dom some weapons and let them fight it out to the death!

Lap it up folks because it's unlikely they'll agree to be on the same panel again.

I pretty much disagree with everything Dominic Holland says, but I do kind of like him.
I like his delivery and ability, more often than not, to keep his cool.

It will get to the point yas will be the only one on the panel with matthew and only people that agree with her will be allowed on.

This show seems to attract women with nose-rings. Perhaps Wrighty should do a TP on why that is.

Yasmin thrilled that men are getting ripped off by garages more than women. I've never seen her so happy!

I think she was trying to be funny - though this is something she's obviously incapable of.

If it was women being ripped off more than men then I'm sure that she'd claim that it's because they're women.

She was silent when it was read out that the main reason women are getting better prices from garages is because they were exploiting their natural "charms". If Dom had said that was the reason she would've ripped his head off!

....

"Illiterate harpies on Mumsnet" he says and yet they've provided him with the basis for this TP!!

Was Dom joking when he says YAB punches him in the break? Maybe, maybe not...

I thought he was going for two consecutive talking points without a call for a minute there. I do wonder how many calls and texts they actually get. They show hardly any texts, only ever reference them in the 11am viewer comments.

And surely on Fridays the lines should be closed much earlier than they are? They still have the phone number up right through the TV review when there are no calls accepted after around 10.55

I can't believe how stupid Matthew Wright's wife is. He said yesterday that she came in from work in a panic saying she would have to register to vote because it was all over the news and he told her she already had her polling card! Has she never voted before? Dominic mentioned it again this morning about the system crashing wwtte "people like your wife could have been on the system trying to register when they are already registered" I'm surprised Matthew took it so well, you would think he would be embarrassed that she is so stupid. I remember him saying a few years ago they went to South Africa and from what he said she knew virtually nothing about apartheid which shocked me. As much as Matthew Wright gets on my nerves he does know what's going on in the world. I wonder what they talk about, what new expensive handbags and shoes she is going to buy. He's said before the obscene amount of money she spends on bags. She sounds like a bit of an airheard.

She was married to Simon Danczuk, so I'm going to struggle to take anything she says seriously.
