Cats have uncanny abilities. Open the cupboard door and remove tin of beans, chopped tomatoes, soup, chick peas, whatever from shelf and cat takes no notice. Lift tin of tuna from shelf and hear the thump as the cat who was asleep on a bed hits the floor and the patter of paws down the stairs before he appears at the kitchen door shouting MIAOW.

There are studies that seem to prove cats and dogs really are psychic. And pigeons. Rupert Sheldrake (is that his name??) on morphic fields or some such.
Now you're scaring me! 😱😜 |

I'm not keen on cats
. They unnerve me.Of course cats automatically sense this, and if I visit a cat owning friend the damn animal decides to climb all over me with their barely sheathed claws while I sit rigid with fear. Joking apart - stare at the cat. Cats find a strange person staring at them challenging / threatening. People who don't like cats tend not to look at them, so the cat thinks "ahh, nice unthreatening person, I shall approach them". |

If you have a strong enough bond with a cat they will allow you to make prolonged eye to eye contact with them. It's like being enticed into a different world.

Well I like Kevin
Think he is patient, good company, seems to get on well with his partners and is very knowledgeable. He's enthusiastic too - can be a bit much, but rather that than being hard work or indifferent. Rather have Kevin as a partner than Gleb or James Friend thinks Kevin is sweet and lovely - I wouldn't go quite as far as that though! |

Someone really ought to tell Katie that whilst wrinkling her nose and gazing adoringly at Anton might have looked cute when she was about 5, now it just makes her look very short sighted and squinty and quite strange.

We had 2 dogs when I was growing up. The Jack Russell had the typical dog reaction (we could just chuck the tablets in with his food), but the mongrel wasn't having it. No matter how clever we thought we'd been hiding it, she would eat around it so only the tablet was left. It would always end with my parents both holding on to her whilst me or one of my siblings slipped the tablet into her mouth. She was a lovely, placid dog otherwise but we all dreaded when it was time for worming tablets.
Shown to me by the vet after on previous visit with a different vet it took 4 people and me to hold my cat down and give him a pill. |

She has been married before, hasn't she? Maybe first time was to a hot guy that treated her in a way that a guy like Kevin seems like a secure oasis.

Was I the only one that loved her charleston?
And her Dr Beat salsa? And her hot mess of a paso? As a dance I don't think it's nearly as bad as some people make out and I like it as a "learning process" dance because in the cha cha cha her legs were too straight a lot of the time, in the salsa they were too bent and then in the samba she pretty much got it right and I love that you can see the progression of how she and Aljaz obviously worked on a specific flaw and improved it over the weeks.Quote:
See I have always been a quiet Jay appreciator,
He is the best dancer, I like his personality, anyone who doesn't agree with me, well what's to discuss your clearly deluded😃 I defended Helen though, as she got a lot of stick often unnecessary, a lot of it inverted snobbery, a lot of it claiming that she was a bitch, and a lot of it putting down her dancing, when she was no way as bad as some claimed. She brought out my keyboard warriorship as I don't like unfairness and boy was she dealt an unfair deal last week. Eta actually with regard to theming for many weeks. |

You've got a point. If they've got a lot of sighthound in them, lurchers are quite pusscat-like in their occupation of the sofa too.
![]() She can differentiate my mum's black two-door Punto from our neighbour's identical car before they are actually on our street. She can also tell me when my husband leaves the office eight miles away and can mind meld toast from your hand to her mouth without you actually knowing it. More cat than cat. |
