The thing is that he danced with an ice skater on the Russian version so she may well have taught him him some tricks, however the tricks of ice skating relay on the slipperiness of the ice and the speed of the spin. I suspect on dry land it might look really ineffective

Fabulous. Second post of the day for me. In the words of half the Bunsen and Beaker (may be it should be burner, anyway ...) BOOM!

Beaker goes 'me-me-me' a lot, doesn't he? Apt.

I think you'll find that's central frugal force.

Shame their salsa looks like an utter shambles then!

Mind you Kellie is not looking good either. She hates the rumba, or maybe the rumba hates her?

I guess there has to be something whizzy in it since, judging from their training footage, there's sod all salsa in it. As an avid salsa dancer I may the critic from hell but I have no idea what they were doing - and Gleb is supposed to be a 'latin specialist'?

You think he'd be able to pick up a decent salsa step or two - but no. Nada!

Possibly they're doing a NotClooney and concentrating on the AS ahead of a probable dance off?

Doesn't matter if their rumba is shitter than the latrines at a festival full of campers with C. Difficile if they can produce a decent ballroom that'll at least have a shot at knocking out a couple of the opposition.

I'm not sure Kev is terribly fond of it, either.

Still a good ballroom should see them with a good, high scoring dance and it does look like it's being played pretty straight if the dress Vicky Giggles showed tonight actually makes it on Saturday.

By the way, it sounded as Kellie was delighted with that dress! Which means that she really wanted one of them for strictly but didn't get what she wanted till now, maybe?

But...but...but...Kevin, with Karen, was teaching us all about the sensuality of the rumba, with all the sexiness of a teenager popping their acne, I'll grant you, but he's an expert 🙄

Thank you. That's a gorgeous image with which to start the morning. Exits stage left dry heaving..

I take it the news that Adam Garcia is on the Friday panel tonight has already been broken in this thread - I'd imagine a few are mildly excited (and can we sign him up for Strictly Come Ringing please)

Yeah, but what was he supposed to do - there was no theme, no staging, no storyline and most importantly no singalongarumba music it was just him and his bride ...

My best bit was him saying no heels on the floor, but Karen's heels were so high it was impossible for her to do it!

Excellent forward planning there

Also frilly ankle socks, leggings and her best goat wrangling stance
