Music time signatures - waltzes are in 3/4 time (three beats to the bar - count it... 1,2,3,1,2,3) and foxtrots in 4/4 (again count it).
Try tapping out 1,2,3,1,2,3... to "Beauty and the Beast" and you should see it doesn't work because it's not actually in that time signature. Try it again with 4 beats to the bar and it's fine. The "slow" is simply the pace - the song is slow and has four beats to the bar. *reads back. clear as mud. job done * |

evening all, just treated myself to the Iplayer version of Pondlife's expulsion... Off now to watch Peter's appearance in front of the judges from the main show on mute on AK's suggestion *grabs a handful of Cashews and half a bottle of wine on the way out* |

That was beyond vile. A quasi contemporary mess. Jason G should not get creative. He only knows ballroom and is just not aware of his many, many limitations. |

I was thinking Kevin doesn't choreograph to Kelies strengths and then I tried to think what they were.
Blow me she does a hell of a lot with very little. She isn't elegant, she isn't tidy, she lands awkwardly, she plays to the upper balcony with her face which isn't good for tele. She is really willing and only now running out of energy but I just don't know what dance strengths she does have? |

Is it just me that has the 'bringing energy' complement as the one they use when they can't fall back on 'lovely dress - well done you'?

Don't tell sofs, but I never really got the HJ love, but following links from Seven Brides clips I found rehearsal (I think) footage of him tap-dancing, and then I found this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KNEUtN21cuU
A man who can act *and* dance *and* sing *and* is easy on the eye? Yum! |

Didn't like that dance with Gleb and Natalie. She is not only too tall but too big (bone structure) for him. Funny I thought he was bigger than he is, or rather I always forget how big Natalie is.
Unappreciating that I don't have Oti's legs. I would settle for Aliona's. I actually liked the beginning of the dance with Karen and Kevin. But that lasted about 5 seconds. |

I thought Kellie was lucky in the dance off as it was one big mess especially the lifts. The agenda was to get rid of Peter so she survived.
Is she reaching the end of her time? |

Is she reaching the end of her time? Pretty much. I like her, the only way she survives is against a Katie car crash Latin, but they have a foxtrot. I don't think Anita will be that poor again. Maybe the theme can save her? Their better dances had strong themes. |

Kellie will have ballroom as well (AS, Vee Dub, or rhumba 😕 ) or AT?
VW to "June Bride" in her knickers or AS foxtrot to "The Sound of Music" in floral curtains with Kev in lederhosen. |

Evening all, a bit late to the partay as I couldn't find the address!
What a great result and huge relief..... Sets down case of Verve (we need to celebrate in style) and joins the end of the Conga line..... |

I can't bear Adam Lambert, he's got an amazing voice, but I dunno what it is, it's like fingernails down a chalkboard. I hated him on American Idol too, bet Craig loves him, he's very performance-faced.

What the bloody hell are TTF and Karen doing on the floor?
![]() ![]() ETA: Can't stand Il Divo, they give me the creeps. Also wasn't keen on Gleb & Nat together, didn't quite work for me and I think it's because she's too tall for him, it just looked awkward. |

I'm sure it's been said already but I haven't had time to scroll back.... Seriously unappreciated Gleb and Nat dancing together, don't know what it was but it just looked wrong
