Poor Jay! I hope the producers don't try and exploit the loss of his grandad, but let it stay private.
I think they will, there's been no mention at all so far and hopefully they'll respect that.

I don't think he'd hesitate telling them where to go if they tried.

as if Jay needs your free votes
Well... Given I want Jay to win and have supported him since week 1 as he's comfortably the best dancer who else am I going to vote for?

I am constantly getting annoyed by two things one hearing about Jay's previous dance training and hasnt progressed like all of the others.

The second is Anita's lack of dance training she used to be my second favourite and I still like her but all we hear about is lack of dance training.
It hasn't been mentioned for over a week now on ITT or the main show, it's just the usual people on here bringing it up as a thing to pick at.

I don't understand the need for nasty comments towards any of the contestants... it's pathetic.

Exactly! Not voting because someone claims they do not need the votes is counter productive.

It was actually mentioned on ITT twice on Monday, and Anita brought it in her VT on last Saturday's show!

And the usual people coming in to point out our failings. We are grateful.

While I'm here... I've supported Jay (alongside Anita) since the start and enjoy them both immensely, but it's hilarious to have noticed his fanbase only grow so rabid - after he cut his hair off!

Superficiality is still rife even in dancing.

Me too Morticia though, you could have added Helen to the group of who I wouldn't mind winning. If it's not Jay I won't mind as often the best dancer doesn't win and each of the others have arguments for them winning.

But still AOBANDB for me too and I do feel strongly about that.

If Anita dances poorly, gets bland comments and goes through this week, I am not sure I will watch because I think she must win at that point and I will find that very sad, because why would anyone try to improve next year, if it's is all personality based and it doesn't matter that you haven't really improved throughout the season, why bother? Either people like you or they don't?
Absolutely. Helen would be top of the list of who I would want to win if the Paso and shite music hadn't toppled her. Just trying to deal with the reality of the line up we are left with.

He cut his hair off after one dance, it's a bit unsurprising that his support has grown since then, because he's done a lot more dances that have been really good, including the jive, which he did with a long haired wig.

Oh for the love of God! This thread is not and never has been about Jay. It's been here for at least 5 years whilst Jay was a little twinkle in the Wanted's eye and it will be here long after he's gone.

The t & c of this site say it's fine to have any opinion you want about the show, providing it's not libellous or has excessive swearing. In essence, as we have to explain EVERY YEAR, it's fine to insult the show, it's not fine to insult other posters.

You mean people became fans the second time he danced?

Yeah, really superficial?

The opposite of Samson then

Is it more or less superficial to vote for someone who can't dance that well just to annoy other people?

I don't blame St Anita the Untrained or Gleb for that matter.

Faced with sickle feet and an ungainliness which I just can't fathom out, as her pro, I would do whatever it took to gain them the public vote. Knowing the judges, at some point, can't carry on ignoring the blatently obvious, that's all he can do. Hence, the flashy style over substance direction. She does as she's told, and it's worked so far.

It is no different to gusset flashing, catsuits ,I'm looking at you Ola, wifty wafting , and twizzerly twirling the female pros do, faced with limited ability.

But... Don't try and tell me, that she's as good a dancer as the others who remain, unless you can show me gifs of her performing a better kick and flick jive sequence than Jay,
a more synchro Charleston than Georgie, etc

I will be very sad if style wins over substance, and logic tells me I shouldn't blame them, but who said I was logical !

I love it here, you all laugh at my Anton & Katie love, but in a nice friendly way

I don't understand why a person would do that, but that's their business.

I vote for Anita as I enjoy her on the show, not for anybody else...

And why didn't I get the memo about supporting him because of his dancing? I thought we wanted to mother/shag/squeeze his cheeks til they hurt, when did his dancing become a factor?

They laugh at me for my Chris and Ola love, so don't worry, come sit by me and mutter darkly in the corner if it all gets too much (I generally have vodka to hand as well )

When did a generalisation become personalised?
