With the stand in pro in the group dance - after serving what seems like the longest notice period in employment history, has Ola finally left?
Shame if it has ended up like this |

I think so, suspended probably, although I would have thought James would confirm via twitter with THE FACTS
Shame if it has ended up like this Taking on the BBC is a mug's game unless you have a very, very good reason to do so. |

I quite liked Kevin and Karen's dance. It wasn't twee for once.

I think musicals often translate better onto film than theatre. I find theatre too immersive but I'll happily watch Seven Brides or Calamity Jane on a Saturday afternoon. Love Calamity Jane!
Not a huge fan of Andre Lloyd Webber either, hubby hates him as they're often sung through whole production as hubby pointed out very loudly and very dismissively in quiet part of Joseph 😳 |

Shame if it has ended up like this Silly to burn the bridges so completely. I know Strictly isn't the be all and end all for the dancers, but having the association isn't going to hurt solo projects. |

Her and James have no one to blame but themselves. They thought they could bulldoze the BBC into getting what they wanted.

Just popping in (supposed to be working) to unappreciate the email I've just received from the 02 inviting me to buy tickets for the Peter Andre Insania tour. No thank you very much.
I was a bit disappointed to hear that one of the musicals will be Beauty and the Beast - I was hoping that for once they wouldn't re-hash what's already been done. Sometimes recycling is not such a good thing. The West End is overflowing with musicals (actually I'm off to see Beautiful, the Carole King musical, this evening) so there is plenty of choice of new material. I saw the touring production of Calamity Jane at Richmond Theatre a few months ago - it was a hoot! Alli-F it's uncanny we have very similar tastes - as well as sharing the love for David Cook I share the un-love for Adam Lambert. Every time he appeared on American Idol I dreaded the last note caterwauling view of his tonsils. Back to work. Carry on! |

Oh I completely agree, they've burned their own bridges, just a shame it did end up like this, I don't know if they've got their own school where they teach, if not I honestly can't see what they're going to do next to forge a sustained career, obviously the jungle will probably call next year, but long term?

Thinking about it, I don't think it's entirely West Side Story's fault, it's Tommy Bloody Steele, for some reason his films seemed to be on TV and he was on every show while I was growing up and I could never stand the man, I think I've just developed a fear that when people randomly break into song he's going to bloody pop up out of nowhere - much like Pduh at the moment

I bloody love that episode
![]() My parents weren't really into musicals themselves, although they did own the South Pacific soundtrack which I enjoyed as a kid. It was my cousin/best mate that introduced me to West Side Story (sorry AK), Carousel and Seven Brides For Seven Brothers when I was 8 & I loved them all. My love of musicals grew from there. Has anyone ever done a VW to the Carousel theme? |

Really unappreciating the cold I think I'm coming down with, ears blocked, throat feeling a bit scratchy and head beginning to hurt
Have Mark Harmon stripped and sent to my tent immediately

I think I love the individual numbers but not sure i would enjoy 2+. But then I am spanish and musical theatre isnt really part of our culture. |

I just love the big Hollywood 1940/50's musicals (but film rather than stage) The songs, the routines, the dresses ... Edit - I'd be TTF's ideal partner wouldn't I 😱😱😱😱 |

Very, very windy down here on the Isle of Wight! Ferries were stopped on Saturday afternoon for a while. Chilly with it too but it is a little warmer today but just as windy.
![]() Luckily people were driving through very gingerly so I was able to get home though the car is very coughy. Just as we were going to bed there were loads of policemen setting up barricade to close our lane as a power cable had snapped snaking all over the trees, thank god they were wet so we're not set on fire. We had electricity though good job as the kitchen was full of policemen having cups of tea till midnight. Stay safe everyone |
