I'm still mildly stunned that he not only did it, but also thought it was a good idea in the first place
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I missed that move the first time, or my mind just refused to register it or something. Was it a veiled tribute to Call the Midwife? Sort of 'Let's get this labour going love'? Anything else I can think of sort of horrifies me and my mind veeeeers away from it again. Truly, truly, amazingly awful. I've become a little inured to the constant teabagging Anita has had to endure, and the crotch pause cartwheel just ALWAYS evokes 'Blades of Glory' and I giggle. That dance was spectacularly awful. |

In spite of all the hype couldn't make it to the end of that film, didn't bother with Titanic, that bloody song ![]() I had an Alesha moment last night, we lost Helen and I had to watch that in response to St Anita of NDB. Much as I love Jay's dancing his ballroom leaves me a little cold, no pizzaz, too mannered and careful, he needs to let rip a little. That salsa, flipping heck, umm, why didn't he bother putting in, you know, some proper steps

Just rewatched what will be forever known as the 'minge salsa' in this house. Just awful, hampered by the music choice. The dance was all sorts of wrong, Anita does not look as if she is enjoying herself, the lift fest, there was very little salsa, weird shoes to choose, cheerleader costumes.

Although he can do whafty until the cows come home, fast Latin where he can let rip is where he looks happiest and performs brilliantly.

Why was Gleb dressed like a sexy? nutcracker toy solider - was it another out fit from his dressing up box?
It's not as funny second time round, it's just godawful. WHAT WAS GLEB THINKING? That looks like something you'd see by 2 not very good amateurs on Britain's Got Talent or Got to Dance. You have to hand it to Anita, she's provided us with all the wtf moments and she's had a shocking 3 weeks. ![]() ![]() See even her uberfans aren't defending that shower of shit so vociferously I think it looks like Artem & Kara's showdance should have looked if she hadn't injured herself. |

Which way will OurLeona go for any Showdance - contemprowaft or fast Latin based? If the Latin way does that mean no The Jive?

"Info" or "wild speculation"?
Info, the person was there ![]() Although it did get wildly speculative when DS crashed about 10.20 and everyone went into full on panic mode with Twitter rumours flying around a board that wasn't working for half an hour.

I think in the blog replies. People were saying don't read the comments as they're massively spoilerific. Goes off to look as forgot last night

I sat through Titanic at the cinema thinking "man, just drown already" and when the torture was finally over and we were released into the foyer, I went to use the loos...which were flooded. It was a giant cosmic effort to really piss me off.
A bit like the serious unappreciating I did yesterday when I went to finish my Christmas shopping to find there's a temporary "ice sculpture trail" in town and the first one I saw was...a giant fecking teapot. ![]() Another one who sat through last night's show hissing "Helen would have been better than this" every time a dance failed yo live up to expectations (and I voted for her consistently, so felt entitled). Believe me, there was a LOT of hissing. . Loving your change of location too

Believe me, there was a LOT of hissing. I couldn't be bothered with Titanic, though was very amused when lots of the girls from school went to the first showing in the local cinema which was evacuated due to a bomb scare right at the moment the iceberg hit. Lots of hissing here too.

I am unappreciating whoever does the men's costumes for this show. Very, very unappreciating whoever talked him/her into buying a job lot of braces. And the whole costume department's love of brown.

My semi finals blog, I originally posted it on another forum!
Hooray – it’s nearly all over! ![]() Me and the wife have just finished putting up all the decorations on the Christmas tree again – our cat Martha knocked it over earlier and managed to cut her paw nastily on a smashed bauble, the poor thing – resulting in a trip to the vets. Luckily, she’s ok – she’s eating her dinner right now – but it’s not exactly put the wife and me in a sparkling mood for tonight’s show. Anyway, the show’s kicking off – and drat, I forgot they were doing two dances each this week! Here come Daly and Winklepicker – Daly in bacofoil and Winklepicker wearing a one-shouldered black binbag. They’re getting the first couple on and it’s Katie & Anton:- Charleston – I see they’re wheeling out the ‘support’ messages from the GP – I wonder how much they were paid? Hells bells, this certainly isn’t ‘hot’, as the song says – and the four stooges seem to agree with me! Taxi for Katie! Waltz – The ice covering her feet wasn’t even subtle – and she seemed like a wobbly jelly throughout it – although at least it was a proper Waltz. Craig Revel Horrid and Dreary liked it – but the other two didn’t – she looks pi$$ed off! They’re perched at the rear of the leaderboard – deservedly so – hurry up Katie, the taxi driver is waiting! ![]() Jay & Aliona:- Viennese Waltz – As much as I find him an insufferable bore, I must admit I liked their Rhumba last week – but not this, it’s all a bit dull! The judges aren’t gushing as much as I’d have thought – surely they’d be encouraging all the fangirls to vote for him! I better distract myself – poor old Jay’s putting me to sleep! ![]() Charleston – Now this is what I like to see! Me and the wife got up and had a go ourselves – which resulted in me slipping over and falling right on my ar$e – the wife cackled like the wicked which of the west as she continued flapping about. I do like the Charleston when it’s done well – and this was brilliant! Georgia & Giovanni:- Cha-Cha-Cha – What a shame she got ill – I would’ve loved to see an Argentine Tango from them! This was good – very good in fact – bouncy and fun. But they were very unfairly in the dance off last week and I fear it won’t be enough to get them through! The stooges marked higher than I thought after the comments – still might not be enough! Viennese Waltz – Well this was divine – the music, dress and dance! I’m definitely going to vote for them – a lot! Very pleased they got a 10 – but I still fear they’ll be doomed tonight because TPTB don’t seem interested at all in pushing them, and of course the dance off last week! Anita & Gleb:- Foxtrot – Is she dancing a Foxtrot or some Showdance? Far too much faffing about – the music was good (I do like Frank Sinatra), but that was about it. No doubt it’ll get gushed over – actually no, it gets a fair bit of criticism and low-ish marks – except for the 9 from Bruno, you plonker! Salsa – Yawn – this’ll be another one of their showdances. I’m not wrong – the music didn’t seem very salsa-like and neither did the dance – I can’t stand Gleb’s choreography – it rarely resembles the dance it’s supposed to. 8’s across the board – goodness me! Kellie & Kevin:- Rumba – I thought it was beautiful – the dress, the music and the dance! It was my favourite of the first round – but the stooges are damning it with faint praise – I do wish they’d replace a few of them! Still, a good score, and top of the leaderboard! American Smooth – I love the American smooth – and I loved this one – divine music, divine costumes, and, especially divine dancing – the dance of the night! I can’t wait for the show to end, so I can watch it again – and me and the wife can have a go, which we forgot to do the first time because we were so mesmerised. I think I’ll spend a couple of quid voting for Georgia and them – which I never usually do! Hooray – three 10’s! ![]() Apologies if the blog wasn’t as good as usual tonight – it’s been a stressful day and after only six dances last week to recap ten feels like a lot more. Also apologies for the lateness of the blog – I felt a bit tired during the show so instead of writing a rough copy of the blog as I watch, I just took a few notes and finished it off later. See you next week for the final! |

Just rewatched it. Not so much a mingepunch as him carrying out CPR on her pubic arch. The rest of it was still like a bad cheerleading routine. I kept expecting one of them to burst into flames ŕ la Buffy.

Well, just finished watching and wondering why I bothered ![]() Katie and Anton were all over the place. Not really sure what was going on with the charleston and don't think Katie knew either. The waltz should have been good, but was just meh. Liked the harp though. Georgia and Giovanni - have pretty much forgotten theirs already. Remember that the cha cha was messy but that's about it. Kellie and Kevin - enjoyed the AS even though she spent most of the time in the air. I was clearly watching a different rumba than the judges. Jay and Aliona - quite liked the VW and loved the charleston - need to re-watch. Anita and Gleb - not sure I have the words or the stomach. That *dance* was just a giant mess from start to finish, from the unflattering outfits (what were those shoes?) to the appalling choreography. Any memory of their foxtrot has been erased by that horror. Quote:

Watched earlier the whole program as I was out last night.
Katie and Anton. disappointing waltz. Charleston elegant but otherwise flat. Georgia - CHa CHa CHa weak, VW beautiful but forgetable. Anita - enjoyed the choreo of her foxtrot (done by Helen would have been a stunner!) salsa? What salsa? (Thoungh I found Gleb really hot in that dance )Kellie - very good routines. Kevin did very well. And Kellie (minus wobbles in rumba) danced really well. But she is the most uncarismatic dancer left by miles. She dances perfectly but without that wow, strength, elegance or even sweetness that others have. I love the As (minus last lift) but again, Helen and Alijaz would have made it more beautiful. And Jay. I know it wasn't a fantastic technical VW but I absolutely love it. Really love it. And the Charleston loved it too. (I think he didn't drop her but she slipped and the way they saved it was pretty good!). |
