I just love the big Hollywood 1940/50's musicals (but film rather than stage)
The songs, the routines, the dresses ...

aggs - you've been found out

However I would probably be the same

Either him or Anton - I'm sure his and Katie's Foxtrot will be a Big Broadway number...

Now I might be run out of the forum for saying this but I love nothing more than spending a rainy Sunday afternoon curled up on the sofa watching Doris Day films. On Moonlight bay is my fav. Just love the clothes and the styling

My favorite musical has always been There's no business like show business, closely followed by kiss me kate. I do love watching musicals whenever they are on. My sons got me High society(also love) and Some like it hot on DVD with the idea of startig a wee collection. They were quite confused when I said I did not want a collection as I preferred watching them on telly when on the schedule

Kiss me Kate and all the psychedelic costumes

Also 7 bride for 7 brothers

But actually sitting in a theatre I find it quite odd, saw Miss Saigon last and though it made me cry I couldn't help feeling that I would have been more moved as a straight play,

Don't get me wrong music can be wonderfully moving but in a musical for me it can distract especially say when they are singing about say the food on their plate.

Whoever it was mentioned Buffy that what so wonderful about that episode they so took the piss😃 doing almost exactly that

Why does Tess cling to Claudia all the time ? Claudia looks really uncomfortable with it IMO

Not a duo I'd like to see I'm afraid

If you look at Tess she also tries to copy Claudia's facial expressions.... very strange.

Oh well, at least I've got ITT to look forward to tonight. Will be interesting how much Zoe licks his ass and what carp he comes out with.

You've a stronger stomach then me watching him - although amusingly The Sun had a report on line that 'Sulky Peter' was refusing to do an exit interview as the other eliminated celebs have done. Don't know how true, but The Sun are usually pretty nice to him, so who knows. Overall it's been the PR disaster I always thought it would be for him, don't think one positive thing has come out of it where he's concerned.

I was a bit disappointed to hear that one of the musicals will be Beauty and the Beast - I was hoping that for once they wouldn't re-hash what's already been done. Sometimes recycling is not such a good thing. The West End is overflowing with musicals (actually I'm off to see Beautiful, the Carole King musical, this evening) so there is plenty of choice of new material.

I saw the touring production of Calamity Jane at Richmond Theatre a few months ago - it was a hoot!

Alli-F it's uncanny we have very similar tastes - as well as sharing the love for David Cook I share the un-love for Adam Lambert. Every time he appeared on American Idol I dreaded the last note caterwauling view of his tonsils.

Back to work. Carry on!”

I'm not sure if we have excellent taste or rubbish 😳😂

I'm blooming pooped, hubby is 50 today so we went on an impromptu shopping spree for him and get Christmas prezzies. Not appreciating that we have to turn right back around in 2 hours to go out to dinner, I could murder a Chinese and my feet up. We went out at 10, back 10 mins ago, but lots of Black Friday deals still on, so woohoo!

Hubby is traumatised. 😂 He's Northern (well, Midlands) and tighter than a duck's arse, so spending money is a traumatic experience for him. I, however, love a good shop!

I don't know much about musicals, and even less about dancing, but I think a quickstep to "Jubilation T Cornpone" would be a wonderful sight

My boyfriend just pointed out to me that "Sweeney Todd" is a musical, and I'm now very invested in that idea...

Nah, you're safe, he's the drab British realistic kitchen sink dramas of the 50s & 60s like Cathy Come Home, not the fabulous bright American glamorous musicals. Unfortunately, the others are right, you'd get Anton, but at least your frocks would be fabulous 😂😂😂
