With a trip to the sidings of Austinwuzrobbed robbed for explanation of how doing two equal dances in a dance off week is never going to end well (although to be fair to Anton I think that was a decision made for him rather than a deliberate Brendan choice)

It's the waltz that does for you. It's in the small print, get a waltz go through, regardless of how crap your other dance is. I'M NOT LETTING IT GO

Strictly facebook has gone mental, seems the knives are out of K&K for some reason.

The wrong decision was made the week before, Anita should have gone home and this week either Kellie or Katie leaving final of Jay, Helen, Georgia and one of the other two.

SCD now has to decided if it is a dancing/entertainment show, an entertainment/dancing show or a f*ck the dancing lets just throw each other about show.

If I'm honest I'd rather Helen than Katie in the final but otherwise happy with the finalists, I have to say. K&K played a blinder at the right moment.

Ah well, we have unique stories for each pro...Anton original pro and first time finalist, Kevin three finals in a row, Aliona chance to be only pro to win twice, Giovanni last new pro standing...

Yet it is quite tame in here, compared to last week!! Her fans were more infuriated by a 6 than her leaving it seems.

I'd much rather Helen, with Anita/Katie/Kellie leaving 4th and then a straight fight between the 3 best for the glitter ball, alas not to be

Not appreciating that the no jive decision may lead to the first ever 'robbedthemselves' thread...

I think Erin probably already had that one covered with the Muppets

If Jay doesn't do his Tango as his Favourite Dance (and I can see his Rumba there instead), a final of Jive/Ballroom Showdance/Tango for Katie could be about the strongest shot she's got; all 3 are/could be showstoppers.

Don't think there's a chance of that. And if people only want to vote for one dance then I'd say they didn't deserve the title anyway...

Personally I like all of Jay's dance bar the slightly dull foxtrot and the stuffed up QS (which I think can be OK if reworked) so he still has my vote unless he falls over

And maybe even then

I forget what each category is now or whether they mix them up. I think one is/was a dance for improvement and one a dance to be done again because it was great? So for Jay I'd say quickstep because he slipped up, literally, and jive, well just because, obvs!

I am hoping that they will do a jive/charleston/letitrip showdance so it would make it too samey to include the jive. Please, please no barefoot/comtempo/waftorama hate those.

Series 1 to 6 : pick your favourite ballroom and your favourite latin
Series 7 : get given your highest scoring ballroom and latin and don't worry Hobbit we'll count Charleston as Latin even though we've been talking about it like it's a ballroom for the last month
Series 8 : your highest scoring dance and your favourite dance
Series 9 -13 : your favourite dance and one dance the judges have chosen literally by shutting their eyes and pointing.

Aha - so that's how they decide - I thought there might some arcane dance version of Paper/Scissors/Stone going on...

'Her fans' mmmmm

From reading many of the comments after 6 gate many of votes were not from her fan base but from people who just felt sorry for her and flung a few spare votes or 50 in her direction

What are you thinking? This would mean that they aren't trying to stitch up / promote anyone at all, and then what will anyone post about all week?!

Aliona has confirmed that the QS is judges' choice on Twitter, but they're definitely not doing the jive.

Call me old-fashioned, but I wish it was just their two best dances. It's the final, I don't want to see their week one dances again, or a dance they made mistakes in, or a dance that put them in the dance off. I want quality, especially because most showdances are a load of tut.

Take last year's - no ballroom, a few week one cha chas, Caroline's Charleston without the backing dancers, Frankie's crap ballroom showdance, Mark's crapper sprinting showdance, Caroline's turbowaft and Simon's AT and Donobot showdance. It should be best ballroom and best latin, instead of producer mucking about.

They made the decision not to repeat it and leave it as the iconic moment it was as it can never be the same, no idea what they are choosing though

I can see why in a way. Just miffed I might not see it again, don't go to the tour these days as it's usually on a week night in my local venues, too much messing more for the missus than me.

Salsa? Please? Or Charleston, even though I'm not the keenest on repeating semifinal dances.
