Call me old-fashioned, but I wish it was just their two best dances. It's the final, I don't want to see their week one dances again, or a dance they made mistakes in, or a dance that put them in the dance off. I want quality, especially because most showdances are a load of tut.

Take last year's - no ballroom, a few week one cha chas, Caroline's Charleston without the backing dancers, Frankie's crap ballroom showdance, Mark's crapper sprinting showdance, Caroline's turbowaft and Simon's AT and Donobot showdance. It should be best ballroom and best latin, instead of producer mucking about.

But because of the judges' uber iffy scoring Jay's best ballroom and Latin would be rumba and tango. Kellie's would be the two in the semi final, rumba and AS (or maybe QS) It would just be the later dances because that's when they drag the 10s out.

I can see why in a way. Just miffed I might not see it again, don't go to the tour these days as it's usually on a week night in my local venues, too much messing more for the missus than me.

I'm sure there'll be loads of them on YouTube by the end of Feb 😉

I would have loved to have seen it but I guess I understand why they aren't. Just depends on what they do choose, I'll go off the deep end if it's the AS or the foxtrot

They made the decision not to repeat it and leave it as the iconic moment it was as it can never be the same, no idea what they are choosing though
If we get the Quickstep, tango and a jivey-Charlestoney showdance I'll be partially mollified

Id be over the moon to be honest, but have a feeling they're going to waft.

I'd also be ok with them redoing the salsa with better lifts

It's quite hilarious some of it, the sign of a good series when the board starts going a wee bit mental - although the departure of Anita I think has to an extent stopped any out and out fan warz

Some of them are Jay fans chucking their toys, but a lot of them are people who are not fans and had no intention of voting for him whatever he did and are just using it as yet another stick to beat him with.

A lot of fans have supported him and think it's his choice to dance whatever he wants.

But I can imagine it's funny if you don't care

Oh it is! Personally would have loved to see the Jive again, but not the end of the world if not. I would love to see Katie's Rhumba again, but not going to be upset if my favourite dance is not theirs

Yeah but Katie's rumba isn't exactly Jay's jive is it? I don't even remember Katie's rumba, in fact I don't remember anything Katie did apart from the charleston which was special

My point, I guess is, you as a non-fan remember that jive, everyone remembers that jive, even if you don't like him you remember THAT JIVE. That makes it iconic, not sure Katie did anything that will be remembered with the same strength of feeling.

No I agree it isn't as memorable. Saying that though I have never felt the need to rewatch Jay's Jive, was amazed by it at the time but never watched it again. I have watched Katie's rhumba again and again though, it wasn't spectacular but I loved it And may be remembered for the dress if not the dance

Just re-watched Quickstep to see what we are in for. Hate music and silly running hand slapping opening, but without the mess ups, I don't think it's that bad a routine.... Curious to see what others will get and if an equal challenge.

Unappreciating having 65 mock exams to mark before Friday, all of uniformly dire quality and many with apologetic little 'sorry, Miss' notes at the bottom. Not as sorry as you will be, she mutters...

Well, the upside is that the bad ones don't take so long to mark... The worst ones are dire but wordy and ramble on long after they should have realised they have nothing to say. Bit like a former contestant we all know and love...

Gaby Logan being on ITT reminds me that Anita is not the first celeb I love off the show and can't take to on it. I really enjoyed seeing Gaby on ITT and I think she's a brilliant, assured presenter, but I really could not take to her on Strictly.

Strictly facebook has gone mental, seems the knives are out of K&K for some reason.

The wrong decision was made the week before, Anita should have gone home and this week either Kellie or Katie leaving final of Jay, Helen, Georgia and one of the other two.

SCD now has to decided if it is a dancing/entertainment show, an entertainment/dancing show or a f*ck the dancing lets just throw each other about show.
Well I have to say I am n agreement with FB then, the semi final really missed her and I suspect we will notice it in the final.

Really with Helen in the final we would have had better quality dancing. A case of not knowing what you had until it had gone.

I wonder if Jay could manage 12 dances in one evening? I'm not sure I'm overly bothered about seeing any of the others dance again!
I am weirdly mourning the loss of the chance for Bacofoil Mark 2 with added Gleb Specialzzz. And I am definitely mourning the loss of Helen.

Don't think there's a chance of that. And if people only want to vote for one dance then I'd say they didn't deserve the title anyway...

Personally I like all of Jay's dance bar the slightly dull foxtrot and the stuffed up QS (which I think can be OK if reworked) so he still has my vote unless he falls over

And maybe even then
Exactly what I said Kitten.

Did she insinuate that the pairings are known before the launch show? Katie sent her a sneaky super secret text when she found out 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Bruno seems to know more about the AT than Len shokka

The show is recorded earlier in the week so maybe she sent it after the recording.

If I'm honest I'd rather Helen than Katie in the final but otherwise happy with the finalists, I have to say. K&K played a blinder at the right moment.

Ah well, we have unique stories for each pro...Anton original pro and first time finalist, Kevin three finals in a row, Aliona chance to be only pro to win twice, Giovanni last new pro standing...
You've read my mind haven't you! I'm slightly scared now.
