Agree about Pixie instead of Mark in last year's final. I would also have gone so far as to swap out Frankie for Jake, as that salsa and Janette's show dance would have been bat shit crazy, despite his shite ballroom. I found Frankie dull.

Unappreciating getting "I can't feel my face" stuck in my head after wandering around Youtube looking at different versions with choreography. It's annoyingly catchy and clearly a hugely popular track (279m views of the original song )

Yeah I think that's my problem with Jay and Aliona song....I like it and imo it suits Jay but I cant picture in my mind what sort of choreography they may use ...it cant be jivey, lindy-hoppy... I really have no idea ....
At least with KK (throw everything and the sink into in kind of routine; Jive, QS, lindy-hop..) , GG (rumba-ish/contempowaft) and Kanton (Paso-ish/ballroom) ....I can see what each of them may use but with Jay and Ali I dont know

I was a fan and I agree that was pretty awful. But I do think what they attempted there was hampered by both of them being ill that week and then Aliona knackered her back in training (enough to need a trip to hospital after the final). I would guess a chunk of that routine ended up in the bin and then what was left just didn't work.
I blame Dr Hamela. It's suspicious everyone but her and James got sick that week and all seemed to be taking the good drugs that made their showdance choices seem sensible
I think Jay is more naturally (and recently) experienced with the right type of dance skills to pull off something with a bit of hip hop influence though.

I did my unappreciating of Saint Anita the "People's Champion" earlier. I need to wind up some more to properly unappreciate GG dancing to a whiny dirge and Katie getting the worlds most overblown song

I thought it was just me! Frankie seems lovely but I'd have much preferred Jake in the final, he was so much more dynamic and memorable for me.
