Doing a proper nationwide tour like that is a lot of work but at least it shows he's passionate about what he does. The daft thing is, if Andre did that he'd probably shift a lot more tickets as people in places who don't get many 'big' acts perform near them might go to see him, but wouldn't travel to their nearest city.”

To be fair to Andre (not something I ever thought I'd say ) when I was looking at the tour dates for the ticket price he does have other much smaller venues listed that he's performing at; they aren't all the O2 or the NEC. Interestingly, the Birmingham venue he's going to is sold out. He must have enough of a draw, but not enough to fill a huge stadium.

Fair play to Joe McEldery. That is some tour. Other musicians and comedians will tell you that putting in the legwork will keep your existing fans and attract new ones.

I'm on Star Wars overload already and it's only Thursday, if I see that Subway advert one more time I won't be responsible for my own actions By the time they do their charleston, I'll be ready to brain them with the light sabres.

I genuinely think this year the winner will be the person with the most superfans, not the casual viewer turning in for the first time.

Abbey won because she was the most liked of the ones left, no-one in that year inspired massive devotion. I loved Natalie but she was too divisive. Abbey was just the last one standing.

This year, I think it's between Jay's sooperfans, me being one, how popular Anton is and how much people want to see him win and how much support Georgia has. Kellie is the one tacked on the end, she didn't even get a "Let's not forget about.." thread

I think we often fit a narrative to the result after the fact. Tom Chambers' showdance didn't win it for him, it was a combination of protest vote and him being popular in his own right. He had it won before the night even started, most viewers didn't want Lisa or Rachel winning after Austin controversially went out. So I don't think showdances really matter that much to the result, people have by and large made their minds up.

I forgot to add that Joe played "Tommy" in a stage version of the rock musical in Blackpool in September and will also be Joseph in the musical next year from March to July, all over the country. He is obviously a workaholic! He loves performing live.

Help guys

All these 'fix' theories are well and truly driving me bonkers.
I don't think I can stand it much longer.

He doesn't particularly appeal to be singing wise, but I've always thought fair play to him, things didn't go the way they should have (he has an undeniably good voice - even if it isn't for me), but he's a grafter, so got his head down, didn't moan and has carved himself out a successful career doing what he loves.

You can cheer yourself with the thought of watching PP on ITT tonight if that helps

At one one earlier in the year, I thought he was angling after a slot on Masterchef - he kept taking photos of 'Food Wot He Had Cooked' and posting it on line because there was an article in Now/Hello/OK saying how scrummy his greasy spoon fry up looked.

I'm one of the few on here who quite liked that Charleston first time round, but this smacks of cynicism. I hope they've re-worked it to have a bit more partner work though as last time it looked like a Robin Windsor special.

I too like the idea of showdances that repeat earlier dances, but I'm not sure if it's ever been done well before. When I listened to Jay's music, I could hear different rhythms, and how it could be easily tweaked for more, so his music could work very well. I think though I'll spend most of Georgia's complaining about the music.

CM would have been so much better - I don't watch it

SCD takes sustained hard work. His personality is wrong - like Donobot he's overly sincere, the bad puns were cringeworthy, the arse-licking of the judges was blatantly transparent, "Can I say" became a joke, and no amount of selling stories about how other contestants are being bitchy, or your knickers will go down with the normal SCD audience.

SCD can change your perceptions of people - look at Daniel O'Donnell. But SCD really hasn't helped PP, especially with the timing of the trial. Whoopsie...

Anyone hear Kellie & Kevin on Chris Evans's show this morning? I had to turn it off after Kevin moaned about the "conspiracy theories" that he's made 3 finals because he's Len's godson () and then started going on about the fact he's never had a 10 from Craig and how he doesn't know what he has to do to get a perfect score from Mr R-H. Even on the radio he's bloody annoying.

Pre Strictly - creepy, annoying crooner, Eoin McLove After Strictly a rather charming, funny, self depreciating bloke (who I still don't want to hear sing mind you)

Didn't hear him, have no wish to, but perhaps stopping dancing at a million miles an hour with your knees round your ears and cater more to what your celeb can actually do and what speed they work at might help. Mind you, if he finally manages to knee himself in the head on Saturday I may forgive a lot

The Star wars Charleston will certainly attract some people. There are a lot of fans.
Personally, I don't get the whole Star Wars fascination (I am not against it either, but just leaves me cold).

My main thoughts on Star Wars can be summed up with 'Harrison Ford, I still would'

I have never seen any Star Wars film, come to think of it not seen any Star Trek or Dr Who and no desire to see any of them.

I don't get it either but it will attract A LOT OF fans . It's everywhere. A lot of people are obsessed with it. I'm quite convinced that they'll get to the next round, especially since I think that it's their judges choice.
Very clever strategy by them or whoever choose that dance for them.

Just caught up with ITT. K&K's showdance training looked a mess. At one point I thought Kellie was doing a monkey walk rather than a lindy/jive thing.

Is the charleston a definite for these two? She is going to be exhausted. Hope she's got plenty of Pro Plus in stock.

And I know Georgia's been ill but show some enthusiasm ffs. If you look totally fed up and bored with the whole thing how do you expect anyone watching to get excited?

Glad of all the fixed rantings about the Dance Off, maybe now they will ditch the bloody thing for good, I mean really which bright spark thought that the public were dying to see the worst/least popular dances again? doh.

Ditch the DO and let the chips fall where they may, fill the time with demonstrations, and I mean demonstrations by professional couples who are brillliant exponents of their craft, not some cobbled together shite by the production team.

Goodness yes - way back to Hanover Street

Makes me laugh too.

Graham Norton - You went on a narrow boat holiday on the canal, wasn't that boring?
Harrison Ford - That's the point

Han Solo, I would, Harrison Ford, who comes across as a humourless twonk who takes himself and his "art" far too seriously, not so much 🙄 Same with Richard Gere, Zak Mayo - not coming up for days, Richard "I'm a serious artist" Gere, You're alright love

But if its the judges choice, then its Charleston and a lindy hop/jive showdance? Not showing much range there.

I agree, Edy, it will bring votes in for sure. Mind you, its a good routine anyway.

Never got the richard Gere love either. He always acts the same and I always get the impression when he smiles that he thinks: "I am really looking handsome now, aren't I?"
