I'd be very surprised if it wasn't the Viennese Waltz. She may get to dance it, she got through most of this series not being in a dance off even when she was low down on the leaderboard

Do we know Jay's? What's their own choice? I must have missed that bit. I know they're doing QS but that's judges' choice.

Jay's is the paso.

Katie should be the VW as was the only time she has topped the leaderboard. I would have said the tango as an option but her show dance is going to be tango inspired (as per Anton's explanation though I would have said it was more paso).

Bit disappointed TBH. No jive, no tango, no Charleston...I hope Jay smashes his two non-show dances but they're not particularly the ones I wanted to see again.

Although the tango was danced better than the paso, I think the paso is more of a crowd pleaser. There are more highlights in it. With two Charlestons already, a third would be overkill - particularly as we saw it last week. (I mean, I wouldn't have been averse to seeing it again but in retrospect I think it's probably a good decision.)

The jive... well that's another story but he's not doing it, we've now known for days he's not doing it so I'm getting a bit bored with hearing about it. (That's not telling anyone off for mentioning/discussing is by the way - you all continue to dissect the whys, ifs, buts and howevers all you want and I'll just skim every post that does .)

I'm unappreciating the fact that both Strictly and It Takes Two seem to be showing a clear bias towards Kellie & Kevin

There are two other Charlestons so a third one would have been too much (aside from being from the semifinals).
I am happy not to see the jive. It could not have been bettered and only be disappointing.
Tango I would have been happy with, but since he is doing a QS a Latin was probably the way to go.

I didn't like his paso the first time round, well actually haven't liked any of the pasos this year, not a decent one out of the lot.

I think Anita's was the only one I liked this year Sydrob, but it wasn't perfect either.

True But I really haven't liked any of the pasos this year. Upside it is a male orientated dance so better for the male dancer to do one than one of the ladies.

OMG! Nooooooooooooooooooooo! That one still has me in absolute hysterics! "Stay"! Pffffffffffft! Try that on me Gleb sweetheart! If ever a dance was an epitome of style over substance, this one is it. It was the start of her downward trajectory, where the look was more important than how she danced it.

It's a toss up for me which is funnier - her salsa or her paso, but I'm going with paso just for the pretentious bollocks of her staying in character to the judges' desk 😂😂😂

I don't think it's subtle, it's right out there.

I understand the logic behind not dancing jive or Charleston - indeed, I was sticking up for him about the former in one of the threads about it when it was first announced - but that doesn't mean I can't feel disappointed nonetheless.

I would have liked to see the Tango again, but really look forward to a tweaked Paso - I would have loved the AT as well; rewatching it I felt it was underrated, quite intricate, but so low key it was easy to miss that on first viewing.

I enjoyed that too. I love the extra fluff that comes from the Blackpool show.

I actually think Jay's final selection is quite well balanced - a QS a paso and a medley Showdance. Works for me
