Only Helen who was very slim to start off with isn't now looking too thin.

The others will benefit from putting on a bit of their weight to get back their normal figures. I don't remember a series where so many women lost so much weight so noticeably.

I remember Leticia dropping several dress sizes but it don't think any females have lost so much as this year?

Me too! I'm part of a choir and over the summer we sang in the town centre but we were running rather late so ended up walking down the street, singing our warm up with others joining in as they met us. It was amazing. I felt like I was in a musical. And people say you'd never find a group of people randomly singing while walking down the street!


I'll join you - Cats is actually one of my favourite musicals. It was the first musical I ever saw in the West End, I was 8 and dance-obsessed and I thought it was completely magical! It's not deep, it's not complicated but it's a big sentimental favourite of mine. I could probably still sing most of the songs off by heart because I was so incredibly obsessed with the soundtrack for a year or two after I saw the show.


Somewhere between finding out it was Musicals week and someone or other saying that Jay would probably end up with Charleston, I got it into my head that I would be really interested in seeing Aliona's interpretation of a Charleston to Rich Man's Frug for Jay. I know it's not really a Charleston song but it's not like that's stopped anyone in the past.

Also I would love a pro foxtrot or something to Sunday, though I know they don't have a big enough band or enough singers for it really. A group dance to Shall We Dance from The King and I would be fun.

Franglemand Jay has a rumba apparently, I hope it's a song Jay can hide behind a character as otherwise I feel there will be waves of uncomfortableness coming off him. Unless Aliona goes down the romantic route.

He does do sexy that jive and his wolf were sexy but those were as a character, I got fun and party from the salsa but not really sexy.

For all we moan about themes they have produced some really good dances this year.

Just been listening to "Falling Slowly" and can't help thinking this is going to be a massively contempowaft rumba from Aliona for Jay .

I don't think she's that stupid, Aliona's grown up a lot since her bust ups with Len. Gleb was basically being scored out of 36 for that rumba last week and with the competition this close with the judges, I don't think she'd risk it.

Yeah She's not stupid, she got through week 11 Rumba safely with Harry doing a routine that Len was pleased with and scored 36. There'll be plenty of basic, she's heard the comments all series.

Harry and Aliona rumba was on week 10 ; week 11 was the charleston and VW. It's kind of weird to see some Harry/jay similarities in terms of running order of dances ( which I'm pretty sure Jay will have on week 12 because I don't see him skipping the charleston ).
I don't think Aliona will be putting lifts there . It's not a dance where he has to play a character I think but I'm sure it will be fine.

Nope cos sexy and Jay are mutually exclusive I think he will be good at the rhumba, but I shall watch the whole thing without looking at his face, cos if he does manage to emote being in love with Aliona it will make me throw up a bit in my mouth. But watch his grace and I will enjoy it.

I guess sexiness is subjective.

Incidentally I absolutely love the film " Once " and if you watch it knowing the 2 leads are actually falling in love slowly during the course of the film I defy anyone not to weep copious amounts throughout the film

Just sad that the unexpected success for Glen sent him off the rails towards the bottle and they then broke up in real life. It was something you could imagine happening in the film as well. Real life and film muddled up and intertwined.

If you haven't seen the film it's one for a rainy Sunday afternoon with a throw and a hot chocolate, though I am not loaning out, Mr Coppertop who pretends he is busy then settles down, watches it too and has something in his eye frequently during the film.
