I'm one of the cheesy lot, usually found on the spoiler thread - being polite! But I've had to seek this thread out... Georgia's persistent CRYING at every available point, for every available reason is getting on my last nerve!!! Get a grip woman - there's sick, dying, broke, broken people in the world... Be ****** grateful & SHUT THE .. Up...
It's the arsenal of the young and beautiful.
Be pretty and if that Isn't enough, tear up.
Problem is after about 25 it starts to loose the cuteneess appeal.
She seems a nice enough girl, she just needs to work on things that aren't in the 'pretty' basket
(NB : this includes dropping any incipient tendency to nose wrinkle).

I want to understand the analogy, but I've never seen or read Harry Potter

Anton & Aliona seemed really close on ITT last night though. It struck me as a bit random, I don't know why, there's only 15 of them, but they were cosy & lovely.
I think Anton has understood how the show works since semi-finals, series one at the very latest and I have the feeling he is also a bit of a DOT . OurLeona is deffo a DOT and has put her time in with the less ... able ... end of the dancing spectrum. I actually think he's chuffed for her that she gets to the final with a genuine contender, rather than a couple of okay-ish if you squint dances and a storyline.

i feel much this way about jay, who always looks slightly dazed, like a IVth former who has spent too many hours on his play station. and the sqeaky voice.
He may look that way to some, but the guy has a backbone. I think if anyone has done Strictly their way it's him.

Yes, he's done the required comedy VT's but in the essentials he's stood firm. No one will convince me that if he had OK'd it the P-that-B wouldn't have milked the deceased relative for every last ounce of pathos or given the injured knee a 2 week outing at least.

To be that firm, to get their own way and still be apparently liked by everyone to do with the show shows an emotional maturity higher than some double his age - which considering he has been in a PR/management bubble during most of his emotional growing years is actually very impressive.

(And with 3 posts on the bounce, I'm out )

I know it's a bit late, but seriously unappreciating last night's ITT in places - Katie's dress really wasn't good - a bit like a bright red binbag and didn't give *ahem* a lot of support.
I want that top OurLeona wore - even though I'm off the booze atm, and no, I'm not up the duff

I think it helps that every single pro bar Kristina seems to love Jay. He's like their little brother, they're very protective of and supportive of him. But then I think Aliona loves Katie too, those two couples (so random) seem really, really close.

For all the Clifton power, I'm not sure how popular Kevin is with the other pros, Oti didn't seem very impressed at having to dance with him.

Was it the prosecco one? If so its a Billie Faiers (TOWIE) one and it's only £19.99, just look online.

When I was at primary school (in the early 70s) this would have been met with a chorus of "tell-tale tit! tell-tale tit!"

Jus' sayin'.....
followed by 'yer mother can't knit and yer father goes to work with a walking stick'

Other non-app reasons for wanting Jay to win ... it puts to bed the 'they' don't want a pro dancer to win twice/'they' only want a BBC employee winner storylines. Guess it still leave the 'The Tour' one but as Mr M Loaf tells us, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

No-one has managed to dance in jeans and a checked shirt before. He's refused spray tans, sparkles, chest out, dodgy satin shirts, exploiting viewer sympathies, using his family in emotional vts and I imagine, huge pressure from PTB to do the jive.

He may come across as emotionally immature if you don't look very deep, but he has a will of steel and a determination to do it his way, I really admire that, much as wardrobe must have had kittens. He's been true to himself, I genuinely think he doesn't care if he wins and he's one of the most authentic celebs Strictly has ever had.

Your loss if you missed it all imo

One of the other ones she's had on this week was £850, I love how you can't tell if what she wears is high street or high fashion, they all look good. Jay and Aliona made the rest look ridiculously overdressed last night it was hilarious.

yes yes yes yes to all of the above - lots of people miss it because they don't do subtle and apart from everything else, their dances have been really subtle, the more you watch them the more you can see that.

It doesn't annihilate the theories about what 'they' want, just the ones about whether they really can manipulate/fix them!

They're getting exactly what they want, come on. They said at the start of the series they wanted a popular male winner and they're getting one.

Yeah, but he's with a second time winner pro and doesn't work for the BBC (so far. That we know )

The BBC employee thing always makes me boggle. They haven't had one win since Hollins, and nobody can tell me he was their master-plan going into Series 7.

I agree..and on top of all that you said Alii he has a huge likeability factor - On ITT last night when he quoted the words from Bon Jovis song - the camera went to the audience and from the young girls to the older members they were clapping and laughing at his sense of humour

I'm thinking they were probably just last to rehearse and had to rush on

Jay dressing up is jeans we've learned

They could have had all day and they'd still rock up looking like he picked the first thing up off the floor.

Hope you're small because they only come in teeny tiny sizes, 12-14 is biggest, I think

True that Aliona though, she at least usually bothers to brush her hair

Spot on. There are many more layers to Jay than some people are able or want to see.

Plus, you know, all the shagging.

I think Kevin is popular with the other BTF alumni, but even of that group I am pretty sure Alijaz is the more popular.

I really loved the way Aliona and Katie hugged on ITT, you can see that there is a lot of appreciation between them and Anton and Jay.
I didn't get any of that closeness with Georgia and Kellie, though I don't think they hate each other at all. Kellie seems very much in stage school mode, and Georgia is emotional.

I wonder if Katie & Anton and Jay & Aliona have been training in the same places? Certainly, didn't Anton pop in during one training session and suggest something? Perhaps they've been socialising during breaks. Of all the other celebs, he's seemed closest to Katie and to Anita, and there seems to be good respect and affection between Aliona and Anton.

I think the other pros can see and appreciate how good he is - his timing, etc. Most of them have been doing this long enough to know sometimes you get the good one, sometimes you don't, sometimes they win, sometimes they don't. But I'm sure most of them would like the best one to win.

I think TTF is in a little bubble of him, other Cliftons, Aljaz and Janette. It's a new pro/old pro thing.
