Does anyone else think that the sudden (last two weeks) pimping of Kellie was because of two reasons.
A) she is not doing the tour. So that would put to rest those rumours of biased towards people who have signed for it. b) the producers must have want for someone else to win than Jay or at least to create the impression, for better competition. After musical week, with Georgia being bottom 2, maybe they thought she was the only candidate to actually fight for the title? Anyway, still bittersweet. Jay deserved kinder comments (I can live with the marks). |

Unappreciating the judges being unnecessarily harsh to jay and Aliona's showdance. They made it seem like it was one of worst showdances ever. Upon rewatching it, I " get it ". It's so Jay. Yes Aliona could have done a much more intricate routine given his talent but I respect and I like the fact that they stuck to their guns and did what made them happy. Poor Aliona looked so distraught after the judges choice comments. .......... you could tell that she was thinking that I may have just lost it for him. I'm glad that the public rewarded them with a win. They have been the most enjoyable couple to watch for me and I couldn't be more proud of them ❤❤❤

Craig offered Georgia a job (very nice of him, but what exactly?) and Len made his feelings perfectly clear and probably spent the after show hours dummy spitting and rampaging round t'internet yelling wuzzrobbed (yeah, now you know how it feels Len. Smarts doesn't it. Now imagine that for 8 years ...
).Mind you I also can't see the same for Jay either, he just would hate it so much, a very contradictory man, loves singing and dancing, not big on putting on a show, and I suspect having won this, if he has enough money he will go off and be a songwriter, make cheese, learn to be an astrophysicist anything pop stars who don't want to perform again do. Len and his godson and the entire family can F off, he has been a grumpy old man for ever, in my Veiw you don't get to be grumpy because your old, we expect our children and young to behave , then do it when you are old as well, common courtesy goes a long way. |

( just to catch up later ) .. .maybe I'm biased but imo they were unnecessarily harsh with Jay and Aliona. Another thing, I know that Katie and Anton weren't that great but I wished they could have given them a few more 9s or being kinder with their comments. They certainly did it in past finales but why not yesterday :? I felt a bit sorry for them ...and yes Kellie was great but I couldn't help but feel like there was an agenda to get people behind her ( the comments, her Tango and charleston scores ).....I don't know I didn't enjoy the finale on a first viewing, I only did when I rewatched it when Jay won. |

I have to say I was quite cross with that job offer, lovely, but for what exactly, bless her she is sweet but a bland and boring as hell, I just can't see her carrying a show? It was wrong to so publically offer something which I can't see her being able to carry off.

I loved Craig's 'my West End shows' - you ain't Harvey Goldsmith or Bill Kenwright me duck.
I assume he could be putting on another of his Strictly Confidential gigs and she'll be along side Lisa Riley or something? |

Nah I don't buy the tour conspiracy but the other one kind of. Kellie was very good last week imo and deserved her marks. With that being said, she was vastly overmarked for her Tango. Len's comments didn't help. ..the public don't like to be told what to do especially when it comes to a contestant that they felt is the " judges favourite ".

But since there has been controversy that it is fixed for people who do the tour, I thought it was kind of genius to push in the last two weeks someone who is a good technical dancer and not on the tour. I don't begrudge the marks, its the comments like you say to Katie as well as Jay. |

It's not so much the hints of conspiracy as the amount of sour grapes abounding, even from the judges, which could detract from the pleasure of Jay and Aliona which I am unappreciating.

As yet another series draws to a close, I have one last major unappreciation to make and something none of you have mentioned.
I seriously bloody unappreciated DS sodding about with the forum halfway through the series and making it such hard work for me to post. They have added those bloody advertisements at the top which make my laptop hang all the time whenever I try to post. I have to sit and wait for the advert to fully load and then pause it before I can type anything else I just get jumbled letters. |

![]() Definitely unappreciating the outrage though... I wouldn't have been outraged if any of them had won! Georgia and Kellie are fantastic IMO, I prefer Jay but could see why others might prefer one of them. I do love that the public chose the more understated but technically brilliant dancer though, especially because in many ways Jay did not play the reality TV game but did things his own way. |

I was a bit uncertain as to whether his showdance had enough show in it, but of all the dances last night, it's the one that sticks for me today - I can picture different sections from it. It's a grower rather than an instant impact dance.

I'm a very old gentleman, and it seems to me that people have lost the ability to just have a bit of a laugh, like we did in the olden days. Imagine the "outrage" and cries of "fix" if they asked for names for the Blue Peter Tortoise nowadays

I thought the offer to Georgia from Craig was very non-specific - he didn't say 'a leading role', but 'a part', and from what Georgia said later her thrilled reaction was because she hasn't done much stage work and wants to develop that side of her range. I think (despite all the tears) she was one of the more focussed contestants in why she was doing Strictly in terms of her career.
I'm not sure why they were pushing Kellie as the winner so obviously, they must have known it wasn't going to happen and so they've just created some sourness around the result where there didn't need to be any. I'm unappreciating how little credit Anton and Katie have had for their show dance. It was everything I expected when combining Anton's first show dance and O, Fortuna. Katie's fixed facial expression and weird costume, added to 'Anton lifts!' and an ugly backwards drop into his arms which added nothing but jeopardy - it was magnificently over the top and nightmarish ![]() Jay's show dance was gorgeous, I thought it was Georgia's that underplayed her dancing ability in favour of the gimmick of the blindfold. |

My fave moment of the night was towards the end of Jay's paso when he gave Aliona the most wonderful smile. It brought a tear to my eye.

Have you installed an adblocker? That works for me.
Jay was definitely my favourite over the course of the series, so I'm pleased he won, but I didn't really mind who won between him, Kellie or Georgia, though I must admit I'd have been a lot less impressed if Katie had won -- I would have much preferred it if Helen had been the fourth contestant in the final instead of Katie. |
