The whole "voting with our ovaries" thing started as a pisstake of that kind of poster. What is even more hilarious us they now use it as an insult in all seriousness. If ever I see it, I know the poster has completely missed the point and if they could my ovaries would be flicking vs just as often as they vote 😜😜😜

I can understand doing SCD for a bit of a career boost but it's important to have some contestants who just want to learn to dance a bit and have fun.”

Oh, I agree with that. I thought the final six were the right final six. However, Anita should really have been out in the QF and Katie in the SF. Or vice versa would also have worked.

I'm having to give mine a severe talking to. They are insisting on voting for Lizzie Armistead for Sports Personality of the Year. I don't think they got the memo.

Mine are going for Jessica Ennis-Hill, I'll have to send them another memo

Ovary voting is the politer version. During Alesha's series someone on here directly accused me of voting with my vagina for Gethin.

It was patently untrue, my kegel muscles aren't that developed

Georgia is like an Audi TT pretty, small, fast, and very nice, but not that rare.

Jay is like a beautiful vintage car. Beautiful, elegant, not showy (to a point ) and extraordinary. sometimes let's you down, but there is absolutely nothing like him.”

Good summary
I would've been happy with a Georgia win
My 5 year daughter loved her, especially her beauty and beast dance ...

I think it's great that children loved certain dances. I am sure lots loved the star wars dance. [I didn't]

Strange not to be waiting for the results show.

Good grief. The bitterness does make some people show their worst colors, doesn't it?

Not appreciating that despite being overjoyed by Jay's win, I feel a little bit like starting an 'Iwuzrobbed' thread today. I do feel robbed. I wanted the final to be a fun sparkly event I watched a few times. I've deleted it as it just felt flat, bordering on sour. I wanted Jay to emerge conclusively the best on the night - and he so could have produced a wow showdance that kicked the butt of K&K's lindyheave. I wanted more appreciation for his QS and paso. I'm greedy - I wanted not only victory but total victory. And I do feel a little robbed.

Cheering myself up with thought that at least he kicked post-final interview butt. To echo Tess and Claudia - he's so sweet!

Yes my bitterness over my votes for Jay helping him to the win is burning me up inside.

I adore Jess - but I've followed Lizzie's career for years. I know she won't win but want to acknowledge her.

As a male I'm very concerned that I wanted Jay to win! Kirsty woz robbed?

All joking apart I do think Kirsty is gorgeous... but I never once voted for her as her dancing was lousy and I ended up cringing through most of her routines. That was a shame, I was really looking forward to her taking part - but others I was less familiar with (Jay and Helen in particular) made up for it.

Sorry, you now officially have ovaries. Only people with ovaries voted for Jay, didn't you know?

Jay was definitely my favourite over the course of the series, so I'm pleased he won, but I didn't really mind who won between him, Kellie or Georgia, though I must admit I'd have been a lot less impressed if Katie had won -- I would have much preferred it if Helen had been the fourth contestant in the final instead of Katie.”

Oh definitely. I'd have ranked Helen as my second favourite overall, but I'm pretty happy that my first choice won, and 3 of my top 4 made the final. I'm also highly delighted there wasn't anyone I felt like throttling in the final this year - yes I'm looking in your direction, Antia NDB and Peter Bloody Andre!

The final often feels like that to me. The year Chelsea Healey was in it, I was really looking forward to the final, but everyone seemed a bit flat and nervous.

I don't like how many intereviews, press conferences, extra VTs etc. the finalists are made to do in the week when they also have three dances to rehearse! Its a wonder they manage to dance at all.

That's a really valid point. The fewer the number of couples left, the more each has to do to fill the time allotted, plus the other media interest ramps up of course so they're hit both ways. I can only assume anyone still working gets a free pass for the week.= Christmas Eastenders must be in the can by now.

Actually that's quite a valid comparison, Chelsee I felt was a better dancer than Harry who I felt was very bland but technically good, Jason Donovan was bigged up by the judges in that final scoring 40 for that AT and Chelsee underwhelmed in her show dance.

I was completely annoyed with the judges in that final and now they have gone and done it again

Honestly they really should learn the public doesn't like a forced winner, they will make up their own mind, and hold grudges for a long time

The WUZROBBED has an additional member this year in Helen.

The thing is the members of the WUZROBBED club are often remembered when people who finished higher are not even remembered in their series.

I agree with you, I will never watch that final thanks to the judges.

But meh...he won! I'd rather he was him than Kellie who got near perfect marks and lost

Goodness I just re read the last couple of pages it all got very gynaecological

As Mimi says menopause isn't an insult 50 percent of the population will go through it

Some of us do have ovaries, some very efficient kegal muscles however topping off all of these will be a very balanced brain making decisions based on all sorts of things not really dependant on our ovaries.

I may have a very dim Veiw of this whole ovary voting meme as mine went walk about very early on in life.

What I would like to unappreciate greatly that a group of women often with difficult and complex lives are denigrated as being driven by the ovaries.

It's demeaning and imagine if page after page on thread after thread was devoted to mens testicles prostate and penis.

Honestly if the word menopause or ovary is used again I feel like countering with prostate, because 50 percent of the population has them and if you are not eating enough tomatoes you WILL have problems with it in years to come. Tamsulosin will be your friend.
