Goodness I just re read the last couple of pages it all got very gynaecological

As Mimi says menopause isn't an insult 50 percent of the population will go through it

Some of us do have ovaries, some very efficient kegal muscles however topping off all of these will be a very balanced brain making decisions based on all sorts of things not really dependant on our ovaries.

I may have a very dim Veiw of this whole ovary voting meme as mine went walk about very early on in life.

What I would like to unappreciate greatly that a group of women often with difficult and complex lives are denigrated as being driven by the ovaries.

It's demeaning and imagine if page after page on thread after thread was devoted to mens testicles prostate and penis.

Honestly if the word menopause is used again I feel like countering with prostate, because 50 percent of the population has them and if you are not eating enough tomatoes you WILL have problems with it in years to come. Tamsulosin will be your friend.
Hear hear! Just wanted to add that Robin Williams (wasn't it?) joke: God gave men a penis and a brain and only enough blood to run one at a time...
Go figure...

I agree with you, I will never watch that final thanks to the judges.

But meh...he won! I'd rather he was him than Kellie who got near perfect marks and lost
Oh yes, I do agree. I suppose I was just thinking that you're probably more affected by the reactions of those around you initially than the approval of strangers and it must have made for an awkward wrap party. Even lovely Jeremy Vine is shouting for Kellie in his blog! It's just a bit.... rude?

But yes, you're right, it all fades quite quickly and hopefully the massive public love and support will feel more real. And I can't deny that his dance choices had something to do with the underwhelm, so what can you say, really.

Just to say, poor Georgia too - she had more nice moments than Jay but not the evening she deserved either.

Yes my bitterness over my votes for Jay helping him to the win is burning me up inside.
Did you really vote for Jay? Or are just trolling us?

It was a bitter final. I get Jeremy though he was partnered with Kevin's wife so supporting them must have been the right thing.

But I do think the BBC isn't happy how this series has panned out. I honestly think that everyone is bitter though us Jay fans is more bittersweet.

And yes, I do feel sorry for Georgia who should have been clearly the runner up.

3 for Katie in the first half to try to see her V. Waltz again so Anton could get a 10 because I'm a sap, and then 3 for Jay to win in the second half.

I thought us lot (the ovary voting Jay fans) would have put you off.

I would have been sweet to have seen Anton get a ten.

I do feel quite a few people have come out of this final feeling really bitter which is a shame.

Jay and Aliona fans because the final was a horrible slogfest of criticism which resulted in him landing third on the leaderboard, even though he won.
Kellie and Kevin fans because they had a great final by judges scores but didn't win.
Georgia and Giovanni fans because they're almost being overlooked in the mud being slung at Jay/Aliona and Kellie/Kevin, despite the effort put in.
Katie and Anton fans because the dream result never materialised and they fell (er, literally!) before the Couples Choice.

I just hope the contestants themselves are feeling better about it!

Not appreciating that despite being overjoyed by Jay's win, I feel a little bit like starting an 'Iwuzrobbed' thread today. I do feel robbed. I wanted the final to be a fun sparkly event I watched a few times. I've deleted it as it just felt flat, bordering on sour. I wanted Jay to emerge conclusively the best on the night - and he so could have produced a wow showdance that kicked the butt of K&K's lindyheave. I wanted more appreciation for his QS and paso. I'm greedy - I wanted not only victory but total victory. And I do feel a little robbed.

Cheering myself up with thought that at least he kicked post-final interview butt. To echo Tess and Claudia - he's so sweet!
I don't like how many intereviews, press conferences, extra VTs etc. the finalists are made to do in the week when they also have three dances to rehearse! Its a wonder they manage to dance at all.
Just stopping by in this great thread .....I especially agree with the above posts. Really didn't appreciate last night's final, it was everything I wouldn't want it to be

As yet another series draws to a close, I have one last major unappreciation to make and something none of you have mentioned.

I seriously bloody unappreciated DS sodding about with the forum halfway through the series and making it such hard work for me to post.
They have added those bloody advertisements at the top which make my laptop hang all the time whenever I try to post. I have to sit and wait for the advert to fully load and then pause it before I can type anything else I just get jumbled letters.
Go install AdBlocker into Chrome and never be bothered by adverts again (as I see various people have said already!)

I'm having to give mine a severe talking to. They are insisting on voting for Lizzie Armistead for Sports Personality of the Year. I don't think they got the memo.
Yay lovely Lizzie comes from my home town I was in a right dilemma, her or Sir Kevin of Sinfield, beloved former Captain of the ship at my spiritual haunt of Leeds RLFC (or the bloody Rhinos as they call them these days) who was the first ever Rugby League player nominated.

In the end though the home town girl won out and I voted for Lizzie and I loved that she gave us a shout out in her interview. Her granddad was one of the town councillors when I was a reporter on the local paper.

I watched again, just to see if it was as uncomfortable the second time around - and it was. Katie's in particular was very harsh, considering they were the ones who decided she should be there last week.

The final is supposed to be a celebration of the finalists and celebs who took part, not a grumpfest by a couple of sour faced judges sat in their mardy cardies put out because the voters subjective opinion doesn't tally with theirs. There really is an argument for not having the final scored at all if it's just going to leave such bitterness.

Agree completely! It was horrid. And has left it sour for fans of all 4

I've kept the second show, for the Curly 'Sod off judges, we're doing this the way we want to' Paso and the winning moments - won't watch the rest.

Really misjudged by the judges, it should have been brilliant with 10s handed out like sweeties to ALL FOUR, the final should be sparkley, silly and fluffy, not what actually happened.

It's not even the scores it's the comments. I have no problem if they thought Jay was 3rd. (Although I don't agree)

That's what's made people who dislike Jay and the press think he didn't deserve it. They acted like the previous 13 weeks hadn't happened.

I would like to unappreciate the implications that as a woman I cannot be trusted to vote on SCD with any kind of sensibility and my minge is in charge of my decisions!
Personally I never make a decision without consulting mine. I'd be lost without it...

I agree ........... that final was the biggest load of crap since I started watching the programme. I always look forward to the final and seeing, as Alli says, a celebration. All we see this year was two judges decide who they wanted to win at all costs, some horrific dancing (yes, you Mr KevinI'madancingGodfukkingClifton) and some equally horrific scoring. I don't give a damn what all the K&K supporters are saying .......... I'm a know nothing about dancing average joe who just happens to love watching the programme but I know shit when I see it!! 2 40s and a 39??? Oh, do give me a break!!
I think all that kept me watching this year was the hilarity of it all ......... watching Mork and Mindy try to browbeat the GBP into voting for the biggest dick in SCD history ....... yes, once again you Mr KevinI'madancingGodfukkingClifton. Well, it didn't happen and for the first time this series, I voted and guess what Craig? I voted for Jay lolol. I would have voted for bloody Anton before I would have voted for K&K. Not since TeamCola stole the trophy have I wanted a couple to lose so much as I did Saturday and that's not my nature.

Now I have finished ranting (and believe me I could go on all day), thank you ladies ........ I have now installed Chrome with that addon you said about and it works fine on here although my brand new laptop preinstalled with 10 doesn't seem to like it and is playing up a tad. I wish I had asked about 7 weeks ago as this is the first post I have made in that time that has not been a labour. It takes some tweaking and if anyone has any tips, they would be appreciated (ooooops, is that allowed?).

Oh definitely. I'd have ranked Helen as my second favourite overall, but I'm pretty happy that my first choice won, and 3 of my top 4 made the final. I'm also highly delighted there wasn't anyone I felt like throttling in the final this year - yes I'm looking in your direction, Antia NDB and Peter Bloody Andre!
My ovaries are completely in agreement...

Haven't watched any of the final yet- seasonal lurgy struck, which meant that the throbbing head could not tolerate music, lights and loud squealing ( KK looking at you) - but having read comments here and the usual wozrobbed threads, I am not sure I am going to.
My uninitiated comments would be that KK were over marked as a consolation prize - we all know you're not going to win but let's big you up to console you/ and create dramatic tension around the non existent possibility that Jay might not win to make the final more interesting.. Also wondering if this is the norty GBP's punishment for daring to challenge the judges over Jameliagate? If you want honesty then we'll show you what (selective) honesty looks like.. And you won't enjoy it.. But perhaps my lurgy brain is just in overdrive..

Hi coppertop

Now I'm no professional just an ordinary viewer so I can only say what I like/dislike.

I though that whole production was fantastic.

The high energy levels from Kellie and Kevin left me gobsmacked.
The train was great and the lighting of the 'moving tracks' was totally inspired.

Deep down..........ever since that jive, I've rooted for Jay but I didn't use my second lot of freebie votes as I strongly felt that all three were worthy winners. I loved the final and am gutted its all over now.

I reckon that was a pretty appreciative post for this thread, don't you?
What are your thoughts on my post, coppertop?

Best thing they could do to improve the final is get rid of that sodding judges choice. Jay had a dance that had some big mistakes and very unsuitable music. Georgia had to re-do parts of hers (still looked like a big ol' posey-fest to me) so had more to learn. Katie had a dance that was riddled with mistakes first time round. I cannot say how much I dislike the judges choice and how much it drags down the level. Even if they shower them with 10s as happened last year - they were still week one dances. Simply let them pick their two best/two favourite dances, don't disqualify the more recent and therefore potentially better dances. If they must meddle, let them pick dances that were nearly great.

Tell the judges "put your smiley faces on" and be decent people. Be happy, be pleasant, and don't pick out anyone as who should be the winner. When interviewed afterwards, praise the winner with a genuine smile - especially, Craig, if said winner has made your tour sell out faster than it would have without him.

I'm sure they used to do their highest-scoring dance and their favourite - why can't they go back to doing that - at least then we'd see one dance which was good to start with and one which they liked, so would be more likely to get nice positive comments and high scores.
