I can't even remember who Kristina was paired with this series, but there wasn't any "is she pregnant" talk floating around, was there.

I know he was dull but even Kristina managed to pull some personality out of Daniel. |

Ah of course it was Daniel - thank you Monaogg - I actually really loved Daniel, greatly to my own surprise! but the start of the series seems like so long ago now, after the drama of the final.

Elsa, just to clarify that I was using Irish laissez faire to describe the generally relaxed Irish attitude, my Dublin family exhibit the same characteristic. I do think Tristan gave the appearance of not being one for rules (again an Irish trait I think) and not that bothered or even attentive on ITT. He might be driven but only so far and perhaps he felt the effort wasn't worth it if, as you say, Jamelia wasn't making an equal effort.
But then I'm always trying to read too much into minutiae. After his exaggerated response to being paired with Jennifer, anything would have seemed understated. |

Just watched Tristan on the Seven O'Clock show in Ireland (6 January show) - you can see it here:
http://www.tv3.ie/3player/show/723 Unappreciating that I'm afraid he won't be back in '16 but he did say, yet again, that Strictly was so loooonnnngggg and he also said the pros don't get paid any more if they stay longer in the show (they do in the States). I guess for him that's a good thing Though to be fair, 9 weeks with Jamelia was great - his personal best - though he made the quarter-finals in his first series in America with Nancy Grace so I guess that's really his best. Bunch of truly crap partners though - except for Jammie and I think she was pretty lazy, especially the first few weeks. He was lovely -- thought he'd be cooking but he just watched some guy make sausage stew and then he ate some - and some women discussed the joy of divorce parties - anyhow, bye Tristan !!!! Fare thee well... |

Series 1 - 8 (Anton, Brenda, Camilla, Erin, Hanna, John, Kylie, Paul)
Series 2 - 5 (Darren, Hazel, Ian, Lilia, Nicole) Series 3 - 5 (Andrew, Hanna, Izabela, Karen, Matthew) Series 4 - 4/5 (Flavia, James, Ola, Vincent, Nicole*) Series 5 - 0 Series 6 - 3 (Brian, Hayley, Kristina) Series 7 - 3 (Aliona, Katya, Natalie) Series 8 - 3 (Artem, Jared, Robin) Series 9 - 1 (Pasha) Series 10 - 2 (Iveta, Karen) Series 11 - 4/5 (Aljaz, Anya, Janette, Kevin, Aliona*) Series 12 - 3/4 (Joanne, Trent, Tristan, Natalie*) Series 13 - 3 (Giovanni, Gleb, Oti) I've included those who took a year off/got fired & rehired (for whatever reason) with an asterisk as extras just because I know lots of people are talking about bringing back Anya/Iveta/Trent/Whoever to replace the current round of departees. I've included Series 1 just for completeness sake. I've not included Emma Slater - Shortest Lived Pro In Strictly History either. Because that would just be silly. Compare and contrast to Series 8 - Jared and Robin.... |

Thanks for the clip Elsa but I think you're reading him wrong . He said the training is long from Aug to Dec, but he also said it's a great show and he is very lucky to be part of it, as there are lots of other great dancers out there .

Deeply, deeply unappreciative of this year so far, David Bowie, Alan Rickman and also though not my cup of tea Lemmie.
That's quite enough for 2016 thank you 😭😭😭😭😭 |

Watched a bit of Nancy Dell'ollio in zelebrity Big Brother.
She didn't let the DOTS down - the only coherent words I could make out were "I love to drink champagne" - and she wandered round the House looking more glamorous than Rita Hayworth and Lena Horne combined. She even danced a bit. Still appeared to be delightfully Batty. She was voted out, so I think she's gone back into her sparkly coffin now. Krotchtina seemed to be almost invisible. |

In a year when there was actually a pregnancy, the speculators were pretty quiet.

![]() She called everyone to gather round her and loudly announced her pregnancy. That's the most attention she's had in the house, I think. She won't be back on Strictly now will she. |

During the course of each Strictly series, there's usually a lot of speculation here as to whether or not X or Y is pregnant. It was remarkably quiet on that front this year. |

I don't think Monaogg was meaning Kristina was quiet about it. I think she was talking about the Strictly board here on DS.

I mean on one level I would have appreciated the inevitable shitstorm that would have accompanied speculating over the contents of Kristina's womb on a humour level, but I think it's for the best we dodged that one...

Does that mean that I can't start an "Is Giovanni pregnant?" thread next year?

And Carol and Brendan! The only ones available I imagine. Kellie was already there for EE in a decent dress for a change. Pity it was black!
