I can go with that. I don't think he will be the best but could be the journey contestant and I am willing him to go all the way with Natalie. Meanwhile we can lust over the Spanish guy and Ore.

I know. I don't know that show (no soaps in fact except the Archers) but it sounds jolly unsavoury. Incest is bad enough but with your own twin isn't that a sort of perverted masturbation? I am hoping someone will tell me it was a Oedipus story line

Its one of the main storylines of Game of Thrones, twincest.

Holly oaks jumping on a bandwagon there.

If I remember correctly, their parents split up and each had custody of one twin. They happened to meet as teens and have a holiday romance and when the parents realised who they were, they were separated again and his character found out about his daughter after they were reunited as adults. Plus I think his daughter was raised thinking her mother was her older sister. Hollyoaks storylines *shrugs*

Isn't Game of Thrones set in the thugish dark ages before anyone knew about genetics? Not sure the same standards can be applied to Liverpool (is it?) 21st Century.

Judge Rinder has played the still-alive-but-ailing-grandparents already.

Thank you. Sounds like the Oedipus defence. A convoluted one I agree but is something of a relief.

I will too. I didn't realise it was on a Friday. I teach on Fridays. I am just debating whether or not I can leave my students to figure out walking to the cross and back ochos for themselves. Might be a big ask!

Sort of Renaissence come Middle Ages come different world altogether. Your a people watcher aren't you Anthrop?

If so I would recommend it, but now it's coming up to season 7 it would be a really big commitment. Really well written characters that have you rooting for them in the oddest situations.

As a people watcher myself it's compelling, violent with nudity but compelling.

Phew - you've saved me from explaining it! Although the daughter was put up for adoption by the grandfather and only reunited with her mother when she was a teenager. Daughter has turned out to be a murdering psycho - Danny's character fled abroad after daughter pushed her uncle off a roof and Danny's character took the blame. (I know too much about this but in my defence I have teenage daughters so am subjected to it most days!)

Yes I am and I came to realise its one of those series I realise I should have got into. I tend not to pick drama when I am choosing my viewing and often by the time I realise something was great I have missed a series or two. May be I will catch up on plex one day.

I am assuming the family court that chose to separate twins and give custody to one parent each was presided over by Solomon?

I think even people in the dark ages knew that it wasn't a great idea to mate with close family. Heck, even most animals avoid it for breeding purposes anyway (I say breeding because killers whale apparently have sex with ermmm... family members for recreation. I learnt that on Radio Four, so it must be true.

Speaking of which I can highly recommend The Archers, and on TV Game of Thrones both of which have had me crying and spellbound with equal measure at times and I'm tough to please.

Did anyone see the skit of Claudia and Tess on Newzoids? It was hilarious. Tess was a robot who goes haywire when someone asks her an unscripted question!

This is absolutely true. Amazing devices nature has for avoiding incestuopus procreations.

Love the Archers - life long listener. Did you know it has a thread in Soaps Pretzel?. Its a lovely, friendly, easy-going thread, much like this one, but without pashminas and Sofa's Moroccan styling.
