And breathe, I know exactly what you mean re Loiuse but nah. Joe Varney is ok he was partnered with an 8 year old last year, I suspect he may actually be intelligent if not having to partner an 8 year old who even after 13 weeks couldn't manage the basic courtesy of learning to say his name correctly.
I honestly felt as if he had lost the will to live by the end of the series.
I still think Louise would have been destined for Bobby Windsor and his confidence boosting skills, had he been on the staff list. She is a story arc covered with a duvet waiting to happen ... confident woman puts career on hold to bring up children and support hubby, rediscovers self through medium of sequins, swapping duverts for pillow cases and side-by-side jazz hands.

She even has a birthday in November, so we are also on for the Letitia Dean Memorial Birthday Extravganza.

As for Joe, I think Laura is just what he needs. She seems to be taking it seriously, but with a healthy side eye to the ridiculousness of it all. I think it's best if the over-investment is left for someone else to deal with this series,

Louise does have the appearance of requesting someone "safe" for proprieties sake. Robin would have been brilliant.

Unappreciating, that last years semi final poll is still pinned to the top of the SCD board. (I know moaning about out there is not really on) But for goodness sake the new series has begun.

Have you asked the PTB to unpin it? However, I agree it is way too long to be at the top of the forum.

Twice. However, if it works like most places, I suspect others need to add their comments.

But...but...it was a love story for the ages. Abelard and Heloise, Shan Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal, Romeo and Juliet were as naught compared to them.

I think the partnerships causing the most 'ooohh nnoooossseee' in various places KFG/Louise, Anton/Lesley were if not out and out requested then at least had several heavy hints dropped about with the celebs concerned. I also don't think that the Joe/Laura partnership was due to a last minute switch. I reckon they were always going to be together - the storyline is pretty much the same either way

(Add to that Pasha's new role of Breakfast Presenter Whisperer, Cloudia having to be part of the aww cute, pocket rocket pairing and Daisy and Greg being tall then most of the pairings seem to have sorted themselves out!)

When in reality, it didn't even reach the dizzy heights of Ali and Brian

Never ever got the Robin Windsor confidence boosting thing at all. It seems to me that over and over he got very successful women, in their own right, who by the start of the series were a gibbering wreck. Rich powerful women, sexy, who couldn't put one foot in front of another by week one. I honestly didn't like they way he was with them in the training room, he would undermine them given half a chance. I think Robin was the reason why Robin had a series of women who were a bag of nerves.

Just wait 10 minutes time there will be hoards of people decscending on me to tell me why, Patsy Kensit ( formally married to one of the Oasis brothers) is a poor little woman or why Anita Dobson has no confidence. You know the Anita Dobson married to one of the richest rock stars in the world, famous for her acting skills, that one.

He ended his run with Debra Meaden and Funnity, I don't think the BEEB could trust him with anyone normal again.

Honestly I swear half of DS seemed to be suffering from Robin Windsor induced Stockholm syndrome.

Loiuse and Kevin is a pairing from hell, she is likely to be good but he will suck the personality out of her turning her into a twee short dress wearing, kneeing herself in the chin dancer in the first 5 minutes.

I think, after a couple of weeks of KFG, his theming and Ward Robe's interpretation of it, Louise will be looking back on The Duvet with a certain fondness.

I wasn't a fan of Robin either. I don't think he made any effort to bring on his partners. For all that she annoyed the cr@p out of me, Lisa Riley certainly wasn't lacking in confidence and did actually have some potential. But it was never realised because they just went on doing the exact same thing week in and week out. And I don't think Robin did any better with any of his other partners than he did with Lisa.

Unappreciating the return of the huge arm hole sleeveless vest I hoped we had seen the last of those with the exits of Robin and Artem, but I see Danny is sporting one in his First Steps clip. Just no........

He rescued the damsel in distress from the controlling baddy; he gave her back her confidence and taught her what true love is; the homegrown beauty and the lovesick Sicilian, domestic bliss and wedding rings and Miss Selfridge, a twitter/instagram/tabloid fairy tale ….

Could be another use for Louise's dress - a kind of sweat net.

Jason Donovan is coming to Scunthorpe. I wasn't sure if I should put that in the 'who's done best' thread

Leaving so soon?

I am unappreciating being particularly poxy and being off work all week. Some viral chest thing with a cough that makes me feel like I've had a kicking to the ribs. Ugh. It's probably a good thing you are running away at a rate of knots. You don't want this.

I'm off to self medicate with the Southern Comfort.

He looked a bit punch drunk on the front of the brochure - he's possibly been shanghai'd. He's probably being stored in the basement until December.
