Ian said that Queen Nat had a skirt that lit up for their shows - but that couldn't have been Nat's surely ... what with Nat being so tall and Kellie (as per Vicky Giggles) being so petite? Given that K&K usually practice in their show outfits (light sabre, briedcases, baseball cap) I tend to think it's going to be a lit up skirt in Saturday.

I found the Canaan Days clip and it is the apache/tango dance. Poor quality though. The dance starts at 2.45 but seeing the beginning with the brothers all missing Joseph is very funny. Tim Rice is a genius at lyric writing.

Oh god I hope they don't go down that route, something referencing the outfit in the film would suit Kellie, not the pretty dress we were hoping for, but it would suit her and the dance, light up fairy dresses, not so much, and may well look ridiculous if this is the plan.

I'm going with my theory and she needed a very full skirt to practice in, and she already had this at home.

I had had a sketchy memory of it in my mind for a while. I saw Lionel Blair do something along those lines years ago on TV. I was a child at the time and I was mesmerised and if I had been picked to do 'Jim'll Fix it' I would have asked to do an Apache dance with Lionel Blair.

Luckily I didn't know what it was called and the inappropriateness of a 7 year old girl performing a dance about pimps, hookers and infused with violence hadn't crossed my mind. And that's before we get to the rest of the inappropriateness, we now know was in Jim'll fix it.

She had one on the Strictly Tour for a show dance with Ian, but it was pale pink not shocking pink. ( They danced to Hallelujah, and it's on YouTube but don't know how to link from my ipad.)

I'd also like to unappreciate that I've had Oom Pa Pah as an earworm since yesterday and it's driving me flippin MAD.

That's it! But yes, an update may be needed. Haven't been any samba bum-feathers for a few years either. I miss the bum-feathers in a weird way... don't get many samba rolls either, or the step where they hop on one leg, with the other knee raised really high.

Would just like to say this was appropriate for the days when it was possible to tell what each Latin dance actually looked like due to some differentiation.

Speed no longer has any bearing, Anita flung herself about in that "rumba "so fast it could have been a salsachachasamba or something, the face could have been a tango or paso easily !

Plus a lift, it was an entirely new Gleb special dance!

Interesting, at coffee with some friends, going through the list of dancers left, we kept missing one, not one of us remembered Georgia, which about sums her time on strictly for me, pretty, competent, but ultimately forgettable.

Yep I was telling my mum who was dancing what and for the life of me couldn't work out who I had missed out....Georigia!! I do like her but can never seem to remember her.

I'm still having problems remembering her as well JoeVarney, no problem, as someone said early on this thread, how ever long is stay on Strictly (and I hope he sticks around a bit), I'm also always going to struggle to remember his first partner.

I think this week it will be interesting to see whether the scores and comments, bear some relationship to the dances, and also will Anita get the over the top theming again.

I think a final 4 of Anita. Katie and Georgia and Kellie will see me no longer watching.
I have no interest in seeing anything else Katie can do, her ballroom will be good with the occasional stumble, ditto Georgia. Latin not so good each again with the occasional stumble, Georgia better than Katie but forgettable.

Anita and Kellie will power through with performance based dances, Kellies will be better than Anita's but Anita will get better comments.

Jay and Helen are capable of producing surprising wonderful dances, however equally they may both stumble and crash and burn.

I would rather go with the chance of surprising and wonderful dances, but I don't know, either or both of these 2 could be at risk this weekend and I will huff if either goes.

I've got no desire to see Gleb floorbothering and whafting his way through a showdance, not sure what Anita will be doing because, hey, it's all about Gleb, JoeVarney will do something fast and explosive which will suit Georgia, Kellie and TTF will be just too gurney, too frantic, legs flying everywhere and just too much. Anton will be ballroom, and Katie will have a lovely frock.

I think we're at the stage now where top of the leaderboard isn't automatically safe. Only 6 couples and a less popular one at the top and a more popular one at the bottom wiill mean total re-arrangement with the public vote.

Add in tied scores and no rigathon safety net and carnage may ensue. 😱

Think it will be Kellie vs Helen. Helen looked floppy and rabbit in the headlights in the training footage on ITT yesterday. Much as I like her, I fear she will tank any DO out of nrrves and Kellie will go through. Katie will be safe with an Anton foxtrot..

Kellie looks competent, Anita's "Argentine Tango" still isn't and she never looks like this is any fun, could drive a bus between Katie & Anton so I'm assuming that they were just marking steps, and Georgia & Gio look cutesie but potentially good.

I'd firstly like to appreciate OurLeona for being easily the most convincing pro at the Argentine Tango. Contrary to all previous expectations, she would appear to care about the purity of the dahnce. On a related note, I'm unappreciating whatever the hell Gleb and Anita are doing in that training video. There's no way any of that was choreographed/taught by experts right? I do remember it being said that he choreographed his own Charleston without outside influence which doesn't seem to be the case for any of the others.
