In an effort to assuage my unprecedented unappreciation of less Corker screen time, may I propose that we add Gorka to the staff roster for the rest of the duration.

He could feed me churros dipped in chocolate sauce.

I hate waste, so any dribbled chocolate will have to be licked off.

Absolutely!

I love how those who slagged Jay's previous dance experience off last year and are championing Danny this year, are keeping rather quiet about this little snippet:

Quote:
“He trained at the Arts Educational Schools in London, before getting a part in the West End musical Wicked. He appeared in the West End musical Wicked for four years.”

They could show him on ITT getting a fake tan, he looked a bit pale on Sunday

With Jay you wanted him to open up, with Danny its the opposite.

Jay made me like Aliona. Oti is the diver for liking Danny.

I'd watch that as a daily feature on ITT

Same for me too. I was never an Aliona fan before her partnership with Jay and I really liked Oti last year so she's making me more interested to see what Danny can do.

I'm the complete opposite. I quite liked her before last year, her partnership wiith Jay turned me completely off her....and nothing to do with Jay. I can't say my exact thoughts of her last year as you would all throw me out

I can't remember who Oti's partner was last year - that is how much notice I took of her. Danny has really shown me how fantastic a dancer she is and I love her choreography.

Distance Piers Brosnan, close up Peter Duncan ( can't remember who spotted the Peter Ducan likeness, but once seen can be unseen).

I'd forget him, but for Oti, who is glorious

I think if someone is pretty they have never had to develop a personality, because they are 'the pretty one'. That's what they do and what they are. That's why when the 'pretty' wears off with age, they have nothing left and desperately chase after being pretty and young looking all the time.

Has there ever been a contestant with less personality than Danny? I suppose if there has it makes sense they've been forgotten, but Oti is a Goddess and has enough stage charisma for the both of them. I think I see Danny less as a person in his own right and more as a pretty robot programmed to dance well enough to bring Oti into the spotlight.

Jay did not have much personality either and look where he got.

Thank you! That's who he reminds me of. Not even that pretty close up....

Totally.
I think it's also why some of the really beautiful people can find it hard to keep a partner - at some point the other half does want some conversation and a square meal

I also think that people who have found fame or been super looked after, like football players for example, since a young - possibly pre teen age - stop their maturing at the time they acquired their posse. There is no need to know how to put on the washer when you have people

Can a question be answered that often floats into my mind at fairly random moments please?
Who and what does the quote "[...?...} left and I had to watch this" refer to? Thanks.

Actually, I hesitate to use the word "quote" here, as it brings back memories of my Miss Brodie-like English teacher who would say, "Quotes are what tradesmen give; the correct word is quotation".

Alesha about Craig (the 'dancer', not the judge ) I think

Settle back for a history lesson
Craig Kelly (partnered by Flavia looking more and more haunted) let it be known from very early on he was from Blackpool and just 'wanted to get to Blackpool'. He was bad. V, v bad but kept avoiding the dance off.
Then, week before Blackpool the bottom 2 were Ali and her Prince of Darkness and Zoe and Mr Jordan.
Alesha was friends with Zoe and so not happy.
At Blackpool, her critique to Craig included 'I can't believe Zoe's out and I had to endure that'

(Didn't she follow it up with 'you're not as good as you think you are'?)

Aha! Of course I vividly recall Craig Kelly but somehow don't remember the Blackpool exchange. Thank you.

And thanks to Krycek too

There was a load of hoo-hah about her comment, but it was honest and truthful and I think, gained her opinions some respect. He was delusional about his ability and had the weirdest disjointed hips when he danced.

Just cause Danny is quiet and not in the face like other celebs doesn't mean he hasn't got a personality.. I like the fact he is laidback and just gets on with the dancing . Also love his partnership with Oti and I know it's early but he is fast becoming my favourite male celeb. I know he won't win and maybe not even be in the final but he is the only one I always look forward to seeing.
