Speaking of Blulu, I can exclusively reveal the real reason for Will's departure. He had learned that the good folk of Wokingham AND all his original Pop Idol fans have booked an early Christmas shopping coach trip to That London for this Saturday. Remembering what happened to Scotland's Pop Princess when the entire population of the Highlands and Islands were so bedazzled by John Lewis's Christmas shop ("ooh look Morag, they've got those posh French truffles your Fiona likes") that they neglected to rush home and vote for the Shouty One, Will decided to avoid the ignominy and pre-empt his shock boot. Plus there's still a seat on the last coach and he needs to stock up on all the scented candles he's giving to people for Christmas.

You heard it here first, folks.

Maybe introduce a bicycle somewhere into the scenery.
That should invoke Pendledrama flashbacks

Of course it was, silly me. How could I have forgotten with that age old folk rhyme to remind me...

Remember remember
The fifth of November
Gunpowder treason and vote

While on fireworks they doted
No Scots people voted
And Lulu was handed her coat

Maybe, as they are one competitor down, Craig can re-join the competition at Blackpool

Here here!!!

I agree SO much, I would rather be sensitive than be cold and incapable of empathy.

Loving all the Blulu discussion btw, and yes, I really wanted that to be Anastacia and Brendan's song too!

I'm not so sure. I can just see the headlines now - "naked protest against Will's exit from Strictly"

I expect those who paid good money to vote for Will are not very appreciative of his abrupt departure!

Yeah, they're probably taking their unappreciative little selves down to InjuryLawyers4U as we speak.

"Have YOU been missold a vote on a TV light entertainment show? Are you outraged at the loss of 15p (plus your network provider's standard rate)? Call us now!

(Terms and conditions apply. IJ4U will take 14.5p of every 15p recovered. The level of your empathy and humanity can go down as well as up.)"

Well if people decide to pay to vote by phone, when they can vote online for free, more fool them.
Do they get their money back if, despite their votes, their fave still gets the boot?

But what they are voting for is done and dusted - vote to keep your favourite out of the dance off. He wasn't in the dance off, so the votes were successful for what their purpose was.

I'm Irish, have an Irish passport and live in Ireland. I'm over 50 as well. Can we have an uber-category of Unappreciaters known as DIOTs? (Drunken Irish Old Tarts - for once it isn't racist stereotyping )

PS You can keep Tristan and Michael. I'll be happy with Rufus Sewell....

No - keeping them out of the dance off means (theoretically) a guarantee of seeing them next week. This time, despite keeping Will out of the dance off, he will not be there.

However, all these debates have already been rehearsed when John Sergeant left (and I'm not even sure if they had the free internet vote option back then). I cannot imagine anything being said now which was not said then.

I suspect if they like him enough to vote for him they are concerned for him and wish him well.

Well I would have thought so.

Apologies for thinking so well of people. I must do better, here's me thinking voting meant you liked someone, not that you owned them body and soul.

Isn't there a word for that, thinks hard. Oh yes slavery. I thought as abolished ages ago, wanders off to check on this.............

Modern slavery is a terrible thing. All those newspaper inches devoted to the slaves in the Thai prawn industry but will no one think of the poor celebrities in reality TV shows? Did you know the producers take their passports "for safekeeping" when the show begins? You think you're voting to keep your favourite out of the dance off but the dark secret they won't tell is that really the money you pay goes towards paying the BBC off so your favourite celeb gets their passport back. (Or, if you vote enough, their passport might get passed straight to you...) Why do you think Craig Kelly was so desperate to get to Blackpool? He knew that was the week he'd have accumulated enough votes to reclaim his passport!

Will obviously got wise to the scam and told the BBC he wouldn't stand for it any more. They paid him to keep quiet but only on the condition that he left immediately. That's what really happened this weekend. #FACT

I pay for my TV license and Virgin TV/Broadband, yet so far, Shemar hasn't arrived.

Possibly. - but I do genuinely see it differently.
Vote to keep someone out of the dance off and hopefully see them dance again next week. Every week a swathe of voters are disappointed - even more so in Wuz Robbed situations - but after the dance off, the votes have done their job and are reset.

As far as I can tell, in these situations there seem to be as many opinions as there are people, so I'll settle for wondering if my copy of Shemar has got lost in the post!
