Another one here... bit of a poor show tonight. But what really annoyed me was how obvious the judges pets were! I mean, come on, all 8s for Louise? I nearly fell asleep! On the other hand, I get the impression Judge Rinder could do the best dance strictly had ever seen and wouldn't get more than 30 points. He was my highlight of a rather underwhelming night, really hope he gets through!

He got two eights, a six and a seven in a dance that was pretty flat footed. I think he was marked pretty generously from a technical point of view although his enthusiasm is worth a few points.
I miss the door, personally. It had great personality in the Scott/ Natalie jive all those years ago - sparkly enough to add that extra something, modest enough not to pull focus. Most underrated prop on Strictly?

Unfortunately, it's been so overlooked that it's sipping Ronseal chasers on prop island these days. The table is also there having been pushed around by Deborah & Robin and danced atop by Kellie and TTF.

I think Bruno was on edge all night; no chance to give Laura a 9.
Seeing as how some people thought Ore grossly overmarked last week (I'll grant you some didn't), giving that waltz those marks doesn't really help his cause.

- The mini-Eiffel tower, making the setting less Paris and more Legoland Windsor. Oh, the romance! All my dreams would come true if only a man would take me to Legoland Windsor and dance with me in the Round the World section between the Eiffel Tower and the Brandenburg Gate!
- Especially if the man then kissed me on the forehead at the end. Didn't we cover this on Friends or some such series many years ago? Forehead kisses are not sexy. Nans kiss children on their foreheads. No more forehead kisses in the rumba, please.
(Although I did notice Kevin looking... downward... while Louise was in his arms and turning in front of him. Nice dress Kevin, yes? Did you like the neckline by any chance? It's just the material, I'm sure. Such a nice, classy, romantic rumba... I'm sure a gentleman would never dream of looking at the woman's chest!)
- Judge Rinder nearly throwing his legs out of their sockets in the jive. I'm surprised he didn't lose a shoe from kicking so hard.
- Greg's look of utter confusion/ panic through most of the cha cha cha, particularly noticeable whenever Natalie left his line of sight. Poor guy. It's like playing peekaboo with a small child - they're never quite sure if you're going to have come back by the time they open their eyes.
- Lesley clambering over the table at the beginning of their tango for literally no reason. I think it was supposed to be a sort of prowl and pounce motion (... onto Anton). In effect it was less smooth prowl and more "Hah, I made it up! Wait, how do I get down?"
- AJ's hair. I mean, really. If you told me they'd figured out how to make Ken's plastic hair for humans and were trying it out on AJ, I'd believe you.

Yes, but it worked best as half of a double act with the suitcase. That poor case never gets the credit it deserves for its impeccable timing, bursting open at exactly the right moment.

The bag has done sterling werk this year as well - Cloudier's cha cha, Danny's VW a guest appeared tonight in Ed's AS (could have also doubled as a crash mat).
Actually, can I seriously unappreciate the use of I Will Always Love you for a waltz? I don't much like the song anyway but I seriously dislike it when they take a song with a 4/4 time signature and force the band to make it 3/4 in order to make a waltz out of it. It's distracting and it rarely works well because the song wasn't designed to be in that time signature. I'm glad they didn't make Ore and Joanne attempt to dance to it with the song in 4/4 (Michelle and Brendan - neva forget!) but why couldn't they just pick a song that's in 3/4 in the first place?!
Louise has played a blinder.
The first couple of weeks we assumed that the baggy dresses were hiding a Mum Tum.
