When I watch Kevin I do wonder how at how loud Karen's clock must have been ticking.

Georgia is going for the under 10 vote in a big way this week.
I think she has that all sewn up.

(Or safety pinned up, if Ward Robe run true to form )

It's all she's got really, you can't really mention the dancing

Helen has the whole fragile beauty in a gorgeous dress storyline, dancing with her prince

Kellie has the working so hard, it's work, work, work until I drop storyline

Katie has got the sentimental seasoned old pro comes good storyline

Georgia has got the underdog, pocket rocket storyline

Jay has the phwoarr, control those ovaries girls storyline.

So all Anita has is "I'VE NEVER DANCED BEFORE" on repeat ad nauseum, otherwise it's the "wonder of Gleb" and we're all over that or the utterly tedious underscoring storyline

I do love you Alli! you speak the TRUTH!

Don't look at me, I don't get it either!

I'd rather Kevin than Brenda and I'd rather a tooth abcess than Kevin
Not sure I want to choose either, but either I would take over Anton.

You know, having to choose between TTF and Anton, I'm not entirely sure I wouldn't pick Anton Getting older now and shagging an Energiser Bunny seems like a lot of hard work

Because she is being compared to those who were many steps ahead of her from the get-so.

and to be fair, she only brings it up as a response to a question.
Agree completely. They all have their 'please stop it already' traits. Helen still has her botoxed, perma-startled look every time; everywhere. Georgia still can't seem to find a positive adjective other than "amazzzun." Post box lips Jay still continue with his longing, one-second-longer gaze at Aliona. Kelly's constantly bubbly; Katie's still Belgravia trying to be Notting Hill. So If Anita's official reply is always "it's difficult" when asked about how her training is coming along; then fine. Unfortunately, it seems that my uber fave Anita is singled out by some.

Think Gleb has done Anita a grave disservice. She would not be claiming :"it's difficult" all the time if she had been taught more technique.

She sells a dance better than most of the other contestants.

I'd have to disagree there - she's had some brilliant theming/staging, and she can certainly sell a dance, but on the right dances so can all the others, generally better then her, and because their pros tend to have properly taught them the technique (bar Kellie/Kevin) the overall look is better as well.

Kevin's explanation as to his thought process when creating a dance completely explained why Kellie's can look so messy, rather then concentrate on getting footwork etc right, he throws everything else at the dance, at it at the expense of the actual basic footwork.

Gleb has really let Anita down, he should have drilled this stuff into her, and if he had she'd look far better then she does. He's annoyed the living daylights out of me about this, because I like Anita and she should be better then she actually is.

There is an Anita & Gleb appreciation thread that you could be posting in. Because repeatedly telling people Anita is great isn't going to change their minds and can quite frankly have the opposite effect of just irritating people more...

You like her and that's great - appreciate away. But as much as I like Anita as a person I think her dancing is still poor because she's just learning a routine and not actually learning to dance. If she goes wrong in a routine I think she's stuffed. On the other hand we've seen Jay & Aliona wing it in a foxtrot, Katie & Anton change a chunk of their VW in flight, and I'm pretty sure Helen & Aljaz have made alterations to a routine before now.

Does she though? Or does she just have the strongest staging and costumes? Who really looks at sickle feet and pointed toes when the dancer is in full Malificent rig?

To me, Gleb has taken someone who could have grown and been much better than she is and left her, technique-wise, languishing around the week 3 or 4 mark.

I have a feeling that the Energiser bunny experience would be rapid to say the least, and more than a little shall we say premature.... Ick. Now feel sick.

My OH said something last night that rang very true, it was along the lines of, Gleb's pretty much showing her a paragraph of writing in a language she doesn't understand, then teaching her to say it back to him parrot fashion, which she'll be able to do, but have no understanding of what she's saying, it's just a string of words. Most of the other pros are teaching the paragraph, explaining it and getting their celebs to understand what they're saying, and why.
