It's a gut reaction isn't it? I have the same issue with him and with TTF. Had forgotten all about the kevirritation factor til the red carpet launch show. As soon as TTF popped up and opened his yap, my teeth started to grind involuntarily, no matter how illogical, or how one tries to temper it with, "he's just emotional, has ants in his pants, thinks he's Andrew McCarthy in any 80s teen angst film".....

The BBC are famous for kicking people off their old Points of View board, before they made sure no one could "gang up on them," criticising rubbish programmes, they started encouraging people to use the new blogs provided, where posts had to be "approved" before publication.

This action was taken after about a dozen people got banned for complaining on that board about the wholesale deletion of over 300 critical posts on the dedicated board for the disaster of a series called "Bonekickers."
It had a dedicated website and four message boards.
At the time, the BBC were desperate to save the programme and wasn't allowing any negative comment.
They wasted their time because as a programme, it was doomed to failure.

I'm the opposite. I quite like Kevin on ITT, it's just his dancing that annoys. It's the combination of frenetic bouncing and tooth rotting tweeness I can't take.

Though Kevin is still trying to find his sofa image.
We missed GothKevin as that was pre SCD.
Previous 2 years he tried Geek Kevin which I quite liked.
Not sure about this year's Hipster Kevin. Though it would be hilarious if he tried to grow a full on hipster beard.
I bet it would be red and wispy.

Is there a box to tick for "banging on about the BBC" ?

I'm not convinced he would be able to grow any sort of beard - has he ever been spotted with any sort of facial hair?

I don't particularly mind Kevin on ITT either. It's on Saturday's, doing that effing kick at the beginning that sets me off. Then we have the overworked twee themeing and overdancing. *snarl*

I don't like the Hipster Hat. That being said, I do feel a bit sorry for him - the hair thinning is obviously getting a bit hard to conceal, and in such an image-orientated show/career he maybe neither wants not feels he can just shave the lot off (plus he'd lose a couple of inches of height).

Then we see the aforementioned kick and accompanying twee, and my pity is forgotten about. Until the next ITT. We're going to have another full series of him again aren't we? *stamps foot and demands Gorka instead*

Ick. Thanks for that image of a trilby with teen achievement levels of pubey beard growth. Searches for the brain bleach......

Can't really see Kevin rocking Mark Benton's Dr Gold finger bald cap. Perhaps he could do a dry run in one of the many upcoming theme weeks...

Brendan seems to have the monopoly on the Strictly bald cap

My unappreciation is for contestants taking too much notice of their own publicity and responding to it with no guile at all. I was quite enjoying Ore until he dived too deeply into the 'how to be popular on Strictly' handbook and put too many things on his plate (being genuinely too much everything is no less irritating than being fakely too much everything so I don;t really care which it is, stop fawning over Jwann and being moved by stuff. Just stop). I was enjoying evil Oti until ITT this week, when, instead of being a low key surreptitious pleasure, it became a full on 'Oti's the star here and so mean to me, I just do what she says (vote vote vote you know you love this stuff)' fest. I was enjoying Ed Balls (he's not that bad, he can dance a bit, he's getting proper choreo) until he started mouthing 'but I did a triple whisk and a sliding gate, I was quite good really' claptrap. Obviously celebs or their team will be keeping an eye on public reaction - but be more subtle, please! I hardly dare say what I like in case it's taken and mauled into something really, really irritating!

According to other half its Blulu style hollering down the coal mine - so it's obviously no impediment

It starts for me at the fist bump in the credits and goes downhill from there

Only thing is it's going to get worse - get Halla Ween out the way and it's full stream ahead for the Blackpool charabanc.

I've managed it too....not so much thrown out as vilified for over appreciating, aka keeping the appreciation thread actually appreciating rather than discussing this weeks Daily Fail, ballet and the weather .....go figure

No.....you just get the cold shoulder / shouted down till you consciously uncouple of your own accord

Unappreciating that. Oh, and that this year talking about the show is actually about a million times more interesting than actually watching it. I've consciously uncoupled from watching the actual show to be honest.

Now. Where's that pashmina? *flounce*

She said: "I love Darcey, I love them all. I've been a judge for 15 years so it's not something I'd be in fear of. I'm told everyone loves me and I didn't realise it until recently.

Really ? I didnt know I loved her either so that makes two of us who were in the dark until now .

I dont unappreciate much but do like a pop in now and then and will gladly unappreciate the awful Russel Grant at any given opportunity . Dreadful , self absorbed man ..........

The headline in the link says:

Karen Hardy approached to be judge on Strictly Come Dancing

The closest they get to that is her quote.

"Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "Let's just say, there's been rumblings going around. But let's just say, if an email comes in, I won't say no."

"Let's just say," You have to laugh, don't you?
