If I recall correctly there had been an exhibition dance that series by a couple of dancers who did a kind of contortionist sort of dance, and Brenda comes out with that. For me it was the total high spot of Strictly EVER and they will never be able to hit those heights again. There's delusional, and then there's Bacofoil.

As for the results show; I felt really sorry for Cloudier & AJ, they looked like they were in bits there. In contract Joe Varney actually looked a bit relieved.

The dance of the night. Would that be results night, in which case he's saying it's better than the two pro dances, or the all-in-one night, and so better than Danny's jive and Louise's AT, both of which from memory he marked higher? Step away from the hyperbole.

How Greg's never been in a dance off, does he have like 100000 relatives who vote ?

I thought they both looked relieved - it must be hard to pretend that all you don't want to do is take them shoes off and put your feet up.

Wasn't it the world showdance champions doing a number in the semi finals that triggered it? (Said pro-dance champion having been Chris Parker's partner.) They used to have them on every year, praised to the hilt, and enjoyed by everyone as much as a bout of hiccups.

Louise is >-< this far from either a bored 'ah bless' sigh
Or taking away his tippy truck until he learns how to behave.

Really liked Giovanni last year, thought he seemed quite sweet and wanted him and Georgia to win by the end. Gone right off him now, he came across as very cocky this weekend.

Oh my lord, I'll start getting the drink in now. That is going to be something special.

Always was. Couldn't be made to look interesting tonight even with a bunch of dancers writing about on the floor next to him. And his music is as boring as he is. And he's ugly.

Laura looked like she was relieved to be out of it. She came out with the " I want to thank everyone for being so wonderful ........" as expected, but I suspect this girl was not a happy bunny at all. Suspect she did not hit it off with Giovanni.

I genuinely think next week Louise will do her dance in a nice twin-set from Marks and Spencer. I've never seen such a sexless pairing on strictly before!

That was quite a brisk business like goodbye pat from Laura for Gio She seemed quite relieved to be going...

There's was certainly the most subdued departure so far. Laura came over well. Quite muted in their praise for each other, I thought. Felt for Ore a bit, he's really riding a bit of a roller coaster which must be tough. Good main show but weird results show, I think. Even the 'being relieved with Claudia' interviews were very subdued.

Don't forget the other Clifton's partner who had to leave the show to get away from them

I feel sorry for her.
From before the first show she appears to have been getting a rough time just because of who she was paired with.
Then she was in the dance off.
Then her leg dropped off.
Then she missed a week.
Then she had to do a Worzel Gummidge and find another dancing leg to screw on.
Then she had a good week!
Then she's out.
And her leg is still only hanging on by a thread.

As a Strictly journey, it's pretty sucky.
I'm not surprised she was a bit relieved.

Rollercoaster? Emotionally or just through score fluctuations?

Giovanni was excruciatingly "too much" in that Samba. His over-exuberance and making himself the focus of attention with those extravagant moves merely served to make Laura look inept and bland... so, if it was an attempt to make a averagely good dance look special, it backfired quite spectacularly.

Yes,she has certainly not had the fairy tale Strictly journey more a wet Monday on Network South East. Her final dance will be forever remembered for Joe Varney's spins. The final is going to be a bit awks isn't it, Will perhaps coming back to dance with Karen, Tameka screaming it should have been me, and Laura holding Gio at arms length.

Generally - he must have felt on top of the world weeks 2 & 3 and it's been more of a struggle since then and the last two weeks have been particularly tough, with a dance that went wrong and horrible theme and now a bottom two.

I always feel a bit sorry for the celebs who seem to have a downward curve - the Jakes and Sophies who get their great dances too early (or are overmarked early and then brought crashing back down to earth). It must be much easier to be a steady improver, and there's a certain amount of luck in the way the order of the dances falls and what suits you.

Still, he's got plenty of time to pick himself back up. Much the same happened to jay after the jive and he came back in the back end of the series with a really strong series of dances in his salsa, tango, rumba and charleston. Ore can pick up too, although Jay never had to deal with the bottom two and had no reason to doubt his public support - quite the reverse!
