Where?

Here, I don't think he's been mentioned for pages but now you mention it

I really quite like Jay last year and though Danny's jive was almost as good as it.

How odd to come in here asking us to do something we were not doing but could do if we want to without your permission.

To be fair Jay was mentioned on the episode thread and londongirlGre's unappreciated him being mentioned on the forum, rather than on here.

Yes - top with public vote (this week) will get 9, second 8 until the one with fewest public votes gets one point. Thing is, the public vote is most unlikely to have a tie so each of the points will be allocated.

When there are ties it makes those lower closer to the top because instead of:

Louise- 9
Danny- 8
Daisy/Ore- 6
Judge/Claudia- 4
Greg/Laura- 2
Ed-1

The scores go:
Louise- 9
Danny- 8
Daisy/Ore- 7
Judge/Claudia- 6
Greg/Laura- 5
Ed-4

Which favours the weaker contestants.

The public vote however will go from 9 down to one.

So that means Daisy, Judge, Claudia, Greg, Ed and Danny all must have outpolled him or they'd have been in the dance off. Ore therefore couldn't have got more than 3 from the public (only Louise and Laura could potentially have scored lower)

Yes, I meant the forum in general. His name always crops up

At least all those blimmin "Which was better" polls seem to have dried up.

To be fair, so do a lot of past contenders who have done standout dances - Jill, Alesha, Kara, Harry ... I think if you don't like them you notice it more

Interestingly, I did not see that series at all, so did not at first appreciate that the original had been "danced" to an entirely different piece of music from the one in the doctored youtube version. It was ages after seeing it before I twigged and it has taken me years since then to be able to listen to that piece of music without having horrific flashbacks.

Probably. I didn't dislike Jay but I didn't like him either. I didn't understand the hype about his jive.

Yes, it was Brendan in full on Meatloaf soft rock angst.
Although sadly without a hover board.

I still like the bit where he gets her by one arm and one ankle and swings her like he's going to chuck a bit of old carpet into a skip.

I preferred his Tango and Salsa to his Jive if I'm completely honest.

What do you actually want them to do? A dance interpretation of the Karma Sutra?? They're dancing at teatime 😂

I don't remember any of his dances apart from the jive.

Every single Argentine Tango on Strictly has been performed at teatime.

Agree with pretty much all of the above 20-odd pages.

Why did Len give Daisy a 9 while pulling a face as if he had been told pickling his walnuts was not on? (Teenager thinks, Bruno was kicking him under the desk...) Len seemed altogether a bit dopey - his heart wasn't even in being grumpy.

As for the dreaded AT - well, I thought it was less awful than it could have been, but if a 10 means 'no improvement possible' (yes, yes, I know), it certainly wasn't a 10 in my world. Louise's legs looked wobbly to me. Lovely legs, don't get me wrong, but lacking in oomph. (Which isn't really surprising, come to think of it...)

Tonight, particularly unappreciating Craig saying that Laura was so wonderful in the DO, but really he had to save Ore.

And another one from the teenager - why was AJ in a pink jacket that didn't match the pink of Claudia's dress?? (And yes, the whole pink costume business is getting a bit out of hand.)

But I did love Danny's jive (and his self-deprecating 'they're making me say unfunny things again' VT made me laugh)...

While we're talking about codes and nicknames, do we have a pet this year? Last year it was Jaypet, previously we have had Chelseepet. Can't remember any others.
