I'm still on the Ed bit.
I need a rest before I move on from that.
Second viewing it's even more crazy

I assumed that they were going to slow down Grapevine for that AT, but they seem to have sped it up

I think the original would have been better after hearing that!

He got 38 but the reason why Craig and Darcey thought it was too frenetic is because the music stated that's the path they had to take.

I'm considering randomly playing one couple's music whilst watching another couples dance

Gangnam style to all of 'em.

Why do they keep saying Blackpool is magical?

It's a dump full of Hen and Stag party revellers wandering about in drunken hoardes.

May I unappreciate Kevin's decision to 'give 'em the old glossy Fosse - glossy Fosse 'em (dip and undulate)'

Last week I rewatched Claudia&AJ's paso with a proper paso track and it was much better!! Really looked like a paso

Thank you to whoever suggested watching Danny and Oti's AT with the sound off. I loved it anyway, but it's so much better watched in silence.

I also re-watched Ed and Katya's dance and Craigs 4 is just ludicrous. Ed was much more accomplished with his lifts (bar the first one) that Ore was last week. He's still getting one of my 3 votes as he's still very watchable (Daisy's legs got the other two).

'twas I.

I often do it.
The song choices are often so distracting.

I think the AT is my favourite dance to watch done well.
It's so bewitching and intimate but it doesn't give me the cringies like the rhumba.

I sometimes do that too....Thanks so much for reminding .... already loved Doti's AT ... but just watched it with Louise's music ... and so much more electric ... that music was wasted on Louise's posing last week ...

Here's one for Conspiracy Theorists: in a dance choreographed by an outside advisor, Ore and Jo only got their lifts added to their salsa at the very end of their week's training. According to Ore on ITT. Lifts took up maybe 30% of the routine...

Louise just seemed to shove her leg into place.

I much preferred her performance this week...... although not that much because she is tainted with essence of Clifton.
Most unfortunate.

This week I did appreciate Joanne from Grimsby's nano strop when the first score for Tiny Tears was 'only' an 8.
She didn't like that, did she.

Vincent and Flavia are great, but they do not dance authentic AT but their own version of it. Do not use them as a benchmark for AT, but as two people doing their own thing with tango.

Here is a true AT for you to watch. You will see what I mean. Danny and Oti really were very good

So sorry you are not well. Wish you better soon.”

Thanks for the link, sofakat. I think that's my favourite clip of AT I've ever seen. Are those guys well known in the AT world? I don't know good AT from bad, but as a couple, I loved the way they moved together. Really unfussy but truly linked to each other.

Always love hearing your informed comments (although it's a shame we were deprived of a rant this week!)

That's bonkers, isn't it.
I like Ore, especially non-Strictly Ore.
I'm not sure what it is that is 'off' for me with Strictly Ore - probably something to do with the partnership with Joanne being either too much or too little?

I think "Blackpool" magic is solely reserved for the Tower ballroom, which undeniably is a lovely floor to dance on.
Blackpool itself, is indeed an experience, if only to say you've been.

Sounds a bit like the Strictly production team... especially when picking music.

Unappreciating the overmarking of Ore + Joanne's rumba & Louise + TTF's American Smooth - both dances were very dull tonight

Me too. I'm an agnostic but love the 1662 prayer book and singing Tudor church music in England's great cathedrals gives me goosebumps.

Louise had just the one moment in that dance when I saw really free movement through shoulders and back and I thought she was about to break through. But no - she immediately retreated back to 'placed'. Shame.

Gregorian chants are superb. One has to admire the architecture and masons who put the work into these stunning buildings, with none of the modern machinery we have now.

I also like reading church based crime novels despite being a non believer.
