I'm saving my rant for the next AT. I cannot imagine Greg doing one and I can't see Joanne managing to pull it off either. Let's wait and see! ”

Part of me wants to see a Jwann Disney AT, part of me doesn't

Yes to the full on mourning mode, our cat knew just the perfect moment to slip in just when we were getting out the mourning garb and planning the memorial speeches.

Ed doing an AT would be epic, not sure how or why and doubt very much it would qualify as a skilled AT as such , but prays very hard for an Ed Blackpool AT.

My dad spent a good 2 weeks tearfully being sent out to view remains after reports of cat related incidents before the unrepentant wander returned looking suspiciously well nourished

If they can give Danny an AT to that - what on earth have they got lined up for Ed? YMCA? Wig Wam Bam?

That would be amazing, and I am sitting here giggling out loud just thinking about it

Before I was born my parents were given a huge Blue Persian male cat, who used to love cucumbers, eating everything but the seeds. To earn his keep he used to deposit chickens by the back door, which my mother used to quickly bring in, pluck & cook. Unsurprisingly one day he never came back.

Ed might get an AT to Paranoid.

I'm not a fan the way some are, but I'm entirely certain that Ed can summon up more AT attitude than Louizzzzzz. He has that look in his eye.

But that's a good thing, as "He" might make it happen to make a believer out of you!!

Gosh, got religious there for a moment, blame it on being Sunday and going to Remembrance stuff!! Sorry about that

It might be hard when you're AT-ing to The Music Man ... although hopefully that storyline wouldn't be too subtle for Darce

My rabbit pulled out her own stitches after bring neutered. Took her to the post-op checkup all unawares, took her out of her carrier and vet goes 'oh you little cow!'. I was really surprised, I thought she was being so good. He tried to put a Cone of Shame on her. Big mistake. Huge. Thought he would never stop bleeding. Or swearing. He was Australian. Very inventive cursers, your Australian vets.

Did watch the show though and it might have been the meds but I really liked just about everyone.

Can I first give credit to Katya? Even more than Kristina with John Sergeant, she knows just how to choreograph to her Komedy Kontestants strengths. There was recognisable Salsa in there in just the right amount. Ed is the worst dancer there but so far I'm still appreciating him being there if it means more clever Katya choreo. Think it'll be another week or so before the joke runs out but last night I enjoyed them.

Loved the Danny and Oti AT as a marvellous showpiece. Music jarred and dictated the speed but they dealt with that phenomally. Greg and Nat had a similarly fast pace Paso and he gave it a good try whilst Nat fiercely wafted that bag lady dress. To my surprise I really liked Ore and J'wann too, probably their best dance for me (yes, more than THAT *drink* Jive). PoorLouise seemed to enjoy herself too in her dance and it showed. Yes it wasn't the full out pizazz that Kellie brought in her AS last year but good effort for her standards.

Daisy danced to one of my fav 90's songs of all-time and I adored the choreo to that. Great touches of the video in there and a fun performance. She really is the most likeable person there, isn't she (Oksana?) Rinder foxtrot and Cloudia VW were both a bit saccharine for me and very forgetful. He might want to watch his speechifying a bit or he'll land in Greyson/PDuh territory for me and she is probably my most forgettable celeb this year. In the recap I had already forgotten her dance and only two dances had passed since.

Re the wildlife stories: I once had a bat in my house. Thought it was a leaf from a tree first but then it slowly moved... He or she didn't fly so I managed to catch it with a dustpan and brush and set it free outside. I imagine it lived a long and fruitful life after that and not be caught by a neighborhood cat or anything. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ”

Just popping in to appreciate(!) this - I've been doing my usual half-hearted Sunday morning skim through the various threads, tutting and sighing as I go, and then found the above which sums the show up beautifully for me. Laughed out loud at your opening paragraph, and hope you're feeling better.

ETA: I think the lack of response may be due to the fact that there seem to be heaps of DOTS passed out face-down on various chaises surrounded by empty bottles (apart from a small gaggle under the kitchen table rabbitting on about feral cats and stuff). Probably the fault of whichever idiot suggested a drink every time Blackpool was mentioned..

Loving the seemless segways here from chickens, to cats to Ed!

Our current cat failed to come in when called the night before Mr Spratt and I were due to go away for the weekend. The next morning, our 92 year old neighbour said she thought she'd seen him come into her house but she couldn't find him. Son and MR S went next door and searched to no avail.

In the car that afternoon, got a phone call from son who had gone back to search again after the neighbour found a cat poo under her dressing table Cat had hidden under her bed and somehow got squashed in by the base of the head board and couldn't get out.

(This is a cat, right? )

Sorry about your Exorcist experience 😷🤒 Hope you're feeling better.

I think Katya is a marvellous addition to the show. Bar a couple of wobbles, her choreography has been genius. And what she has done with Ed since we saw him in the "first steps" video is phenomenal. Unlike Will's Bollywood extravaganza, there was, along with the comedy, plenty of recognisable salsa basic in there. Ok, so danced terribly and without the tiniest trace of hip action, but she did not ignore the fact that the routine was supposed to be a salsa. The mount into the first lift was a bit ropey, but dismount was excellent and the final lift was unbelievably smooth.

I just can't manage to like the Doti AT, but that's because of the music. I don't actually like that song at the best of times, but with an AT, every note clashed. I was thinking it a bit of a shame he doesn't have J's legs, as they are better matched in length to Oti (there were a few points in the dance where I was really noticing the difference).

ETA: and sofakat, you've now got me addicted to watching all the dances of that couple. The man in particular is just my kind of dancer (I mean dancer in general, not AT dancer specifically where, as I have said, I don't know what constitutes 'good') - not always trying to bring the focus on himself, soft yet strong movement, very masculine, no artificial fuss.

It's my hope that the ringers ringer who ever did ring, Mark Cavandish, agrees to do the show next year and the fabulous Katya gets him.

I adore Mark. Have followed him since he was yay high ( not that he's much bigger now! ). He would flirt with Bruno in Italian, swear at Craig in Flemish, win baby warz hands down and if people think Rob and Ore thank their pros too much just wait until Mark gets to thanking his team ❤️

No.

I want a year with Mark Cavendish and Aidan Turner - they would be the ringiest ringahs that ever did ring, but I wouldn't care.

Throw in Hugh Jackman and I'd be in heaven.

Well,. if you're going to have Mark Cavendish, Aidan Turner and Vince Cable, then bring on Ray Quinn as well! We could have an entire series whose contestants are all the ringiest ringers to ever ring! We'd certainly get some fabulous dancing out of it

Mind you, Mark would make his namesake Wright look like a blokey blokey who never saw a tear down his face. And James Jordan would probably twitter that Cav is slightly over the top in terms of agression towards the judges.

I spent a good ten minutes running around the utility room after Strictly trying to catch a just-woken-up-from-hibernation butterfly whilst simultaneously trying to stop the perilous pair of orange moglets beating me to it.

We suffer from slugs as well, and I'm not entirely sure how they get in. Rather gruesomely, we discovered an effective way of doing away with them is bio wash powder.

AGU -hope you feel better soon, unless it's self inflicted, in which case it serves you right.

Didn't have a huge deal to unappreciate apart from Grapevine on steroids (the music not the dance) and Twimsy doing the least vampish performance I've ever seen to Big Spender.

Cav said his favourite dances are jive and rhumba - can you imagine. The pantheon of Holies would have to be re written
